… And why does a bank need to put one through such a process anyway? I had zero problems with Accelerate and Implicity which have been unfailingly helpful and courteous in all my dealings with them. That's one of the ways a bank can satisfy its obligations under FINTRAC rules to confirm a client's identity. FINTRAC: Methods to verify the identity of an individual … details the various methods.
The questions come from Equifax. One possibility is that the info B2B Bank is sending Equifax is matching more than one Equifax file. The wrong file is then selected and you end up being asked the questions for someone else!
Keep in mind that the questions are intentionally designed to see if you know your own info so some questions forceably present false info to see if it will trip you up.

Wow, finally! I was able to open account for my spouse without any issues.
B2B allows you to link only one account?
Congrats!
NO you can link up to 4 acct but you have to do them one at a time....Only after the first one is fully linked can you place a request to link the next one.

Trying to e transfer money to b2b account but it's not working. Its keeps logging me out without accepting money. Does it happen to any one else?
Not sure if it applies to transfers but any linking activity seems to be limited to earlier hours. I wonder if it also applies to transfers. Unfortunately, this is not documented anywhere, AFAIK.

I'm guessing you don't have a B2B Bank chequing account and one cannot send or receive Interac e-Transfers with the B2B Bank HISA.
Not sure about B2B Bank. But, I discovered earlier that, with Simplii Financial, one needs to have their chequing account to send or receive Interac e-Transfers.

Also, each bank is different. I was able to use Interac transfers with Manulife Savings account but based on a report by someone above it may not be the same with B2B bank.

Sending an email money xfer didn't work initially because I didn't have a chequing account , so I opened one up.
So after talking to a CSR I need to have available funds in my chequing account for the Interac money transfer to work.
So I then sent an interac for $1.00 to my self from a big 6 bank and was able to deposit into my B2B chequing acct.
And since the $1.00 is immediately available I was then able to send an Interac to myself and redeposited to my big 6 bank.
Bottom line is I needed a chequing account and available funds for the Interac function to work properly !... All is wellNow, B2B needs to keep the HISA at 3.3% for more than a few months.
I open a chequing account as well so I can send and receive $ via interac.

Got the 2 deposits in my other bank's account now. Took about 2 business days.
Initiated a small pull from the newly linked account to see how long it takes, and make sure it goes through fine.
Yes, the B2Bank website is not exactly refined. For example, I created a password but they wouldn't let me login with it. Why? Because there's a requirement for their password to have a capital letter. Somehow I could create one initially. Anyway, minor gripe but I would imagine there's other little stuff like this.

Thanks. Does it allow you to cancel the pending link ?
The trick to killing a link request you now don't want for some reason is to purposely enter incorrect microdeposit amounts 3 separate times. The system will then reject your unwanted link request and immediately lets you start over to set up a different one.
I have actually done this, so I know it works -- got the idea from another RFDer.
You can only have 4 external links. Since there's no online way to delete them, if you ever want to change one, you have to call in to request a deletion -- takes about 48 hours to take effect. I have personally done this as well

Think of it as some kind of advanced AI.
Their computers are so good at imitating the human mind that they only work 9-5! Pretty soon they'll be wanting vacation and sick time - LOTS of sick time.
This morning during business hours I was able to linked my account without any problem. B2B is running on a clock 9 to 5 kind a thing lol
