Yup! I had exactly the same experience.
Called the client agent and was told to wait 24 hours and retry. I did that - retried - it did not work. Called client service again (got a different person) and they said wait 72 hours which I did - it still did not work. I gave up after trying a few times with a different browser and even from another computer. The next agent said he thought all the malfunctioning issues of the online application process had been fixed. They do not do anything more but listen and say "we are so-o-o-o sorry you are having problems. Try again tomorrow." Enough other reliable HISA sites to use that I would forget this one. While the introductory interest rate for B2B may be attractive, it is not attractive to me with such a poor interface.
I tried again this morning and the exact same thing. Customer service rep seemed ok, but could not help. Called Equifax and they told me to get B2B bank to call them. I doubt it will work. Seems too complex for something as simple as an online account opening.

Could you tell me what phone number you used to speak to a person at Equifax? The number I found online only allowed me to access different recorded type information and no access to a live body.
I will not apply for a B2B account but I am curious if Equifax can give me some info re the B2B application issue linking with Equifax questions.

I think I was lucky.
I signed up with no problems 3 weeks ago about 2:30 a.m. local time. I figured there would be low traffic pinging the server. Equifax only took 2 minutes to verify. I had my most recent Equifax credit report on hand so answering the questions was easy.I did large pull ($$$ xx,xxx.00) from B2B last week and funds appeared immediately in B2B after I waited 2 minutes, then refreshed. I got notification 20 minutes later from my other account that there was a large withdrawal. The 3.30% interest beats the sub-2.70% i was getting elsewhere.
Tangerine....Canada's best bank. LBC.............Canada's 2nd best bank.
Hubert.....worst bank in Canada.

The higher the interest rate the bigger the risk.
You can get 2.60% from Bank Of Nova Scotia.
Sophisticated investors would go over limit that you are insured for in these places.
Not worth the risk.
For 1/2 % not worth the risk on the insured amount. And the smart investors would not go over the limit and would think twice about it. On 100,000 it is 40.00 month more before tax. On 10,000 it is 4.00 month extra. Someone with millions would not go near places like this. Not worth the risk.
For most on here it sounds nice higher rate . Would not make that much difference
Samething like last year when Home Capital had the run with Oaken Financial along with Home Capital you could tell ahead of time because of their industry higher rate compared to large institution.
I closed my EQ Account right away then also because they are close to the top on the rate scale.
Manulife Iam getting 3.00% tell November 21,19.Closing the account end of September. Would not go near them again. For .45% more then Bank of Nova Scotia they can keep it.Sooner deal with a big Bank. And sleep at night.

Hi folks,
My firstee. I'd first like to state how wonderful a resource this site has been to me and others - thanks!
I decided to sign up to complain about this bank's signup process. I tried numerous times. I even pulled out a recent Equifax report to enter in that data exactly as stated. Nothing. Three different browsers. Unable to authenticate. I called. Person on the phone was useless. She said my account attempts may have locked me out. I said, so how do I get unlocked? Wait a day. I tried on 3 different days. Nothing. So, I asked how do I continue from here? Online form, she said, is the only way. So, I said great, I'm going to register with a different bank, thanks.

Me too I got the credit error message. I tried 6 times on different browsers and know the answers I selected when cross linking with equifax are correct but it always says I got at least 3 wrong. I called them asking if there is another way to register but they said no. Rep said call equifax when applying. I ordered a credit report so will try to signup again once I get it. Very frustrating! I see in the other forums people are having the same issue. Has anyone gone through this? Were you eventually able to open an account?

I have read all the comments about issues opening an account, but the 3.3% savings account has my attention. So, I just now went through the process of opening an account. I had no issues and have linked an existing account at another institution. The message i received is that B2B will make 2 small deposits to my linked account within 48 hours. I have a log in that works and takes me to my hi interest savings account that has a current balance of $0.00
I should know in a few days if the linking works.

Tried again today and was linked to somebody else's credit report. I printed a copy of the questions to keep as proof. The struggle to open an account with these guys is real.

Since B2B depends on Equifax to vouch an applicant's identity, the issue you have is with Equifax. Do you already have a recent "credit file disclosure" from Equifax ? If yes, are you using matching values ? If not, may be order one and verify (or fix) your details at Equifax first. It's free once a year. More details at this link.
Hope this helps.

Went through the application process Sunday night, took only a few minutes without any problem. They sent 2 small deposits to my linked account this afternoon (Tuesday) and everything was completed without any issue. I set up a pull ($100) a couple of hours later, will see how long it takes but everything so far has been extremely fast. So far quite impressed, hopefully the 3.30% rate lasts for a while.

No luck for me. Tried just now, got "we are unable to verify your identity" error message.
Repeated steps again, carefully typing in every field (no auto-fill) and double checking what I've entered. Same result.
Will try again in a few days, because it might be generic error message when their servers can't connect to Equifax servers.
If not, will keep my money parked elsewhere.

I had the same error message every time after many days of trying. I called them and they said to call Equifax, called Equifax and they said there was soft checks done and my report has no problems and everything is up to date. Not thrilled with B2B banks enrolment process!
Exactly the same for me. Equifax said everything was fine on my file. The B2B agents are sympathetic but useless.
