The T slip that is available online may say "duplicate" because the other one is in the mail - in order to protect you from accidentally submitting two identical slips and being assessed twice on the same amount.

Motive (listed as Canadian Western Bank) has been available in My Account on CRA website for about a week now. Hope this helps.

I checked, so far not on CRA yet, no paper copy, and website only seem to show e-monthly statements and not T5. Guess it means paper copy is what they send out I assume.

Hi. I get mailed copies from them. Nothing yet, but listed in "My Account" under Canadian Western Bank. Last year (2021) T5's were the same.

I just got two T5s from Simplii for two different accounts I have with them. I didn't get anywhere near that amount of interest. I shouldn't be getting T5s from them at all. Anyone else have this issue?
I'm on hold with them now.
ETA: I should just delete this. In any case, my mistake. I found what I did wrong on a spreadsheet... Embarrassing. At least I found the mistake before speaking to the CSR.

they can generate a T5 for a little as $0.01 if they want. The $50 is the max threshold that a FI is requied by CRA to issue a T5, not a minimum threshold.

Agreed and that is often the case, especially if done electronically and available online as a PDF (no postage cost to put in snail mail). The computer pumping these out does not care and it is probably easier just to generate them all by default without a $50 gate.

Yes, our IT folks say it is easier to just do a complete dump rather than try to screen out the under $50.

Quite the oxymoron, isn't it.... A digital online bank issuing paper T5s with no option to obtain PDF online T5s.
