My experience is T3 tax slips for trusts, e.g. ETFs, mutual funds, REITs, etc. are usually not issued until about the end of March...
Is this true for corporate accounts as well? I am waiting for T3 for my corp. from CIBC MMF. In 2023 it arrived by Feb. 20th. Not sure about 2024. This year - I would hope to have it already, time to file. Did anybody get it already?

Studiotax for Windows and for Mac are not free for tax year 2025: $17.50 to print or file up to ten returns. The mobile versions of Studiotax are free.

Norman1: It sure does not appear that the mobile versions of StudioTax are free. Has anyone successfully filed a return for 2025 using a mobile version of StudioTax for free?

I thought I might try the app this year but I already reported some quirks in this app. And trying to autofill from CRA is a joke. I have a spouse linked return. Tried several ways to use autofill. Why don't they put an icon to click on to go back to the app. All you get is a Bhok banner and message that you should go back to the app after exiting the CRA. The desktop version is best and now you have to pay the same for the app. As a long time user, I'm sticking with what works (windows)."

OfflineStudioTax for Android is free.
I installed the app on my phone. No UI to enter a license key. I was able produce PDF files of a sample return. I can also reach the Transmit button to NETFILE the return.
The UI is not great on a narrow phone screen. Need to scroll left and right repeatedly to see the full width of the T1 General return pages. I suspect that's why the mobile version is free!
I'd pay $9.95 for TaxFreeway Express for Windows instead if I didn't want to pay $17.50 for a desktop version of StudioTax.

I am using the desktop version. The auto fill is not good for me because some of my T'5's are still not listed on my CRA account so those T5's would not be entered in the software & I did not want to wait any longer to file. One quirk I found while using the Wizard is there was no question asking if tax instalments had been made. I sent off an email asking if maybe I had missed it & was told that question is not one of the Wizard questions so beware if you paid instalments last year or the first one this year.

OfflineI have been using Studio Tax for many years and printed and Netfiled first tax form for 2025 at weekend. Then I realized I had not paid for the License !!
Normally it prompts you to obtain the license when you try to file or print.
I guess it was a bug and I have since bought the license as I have 2 more to file.

OfflineFrom the Payment page on their website:
"[Studiotax] are still offering the software for free for users with total income(line 15000) less than 20K* and for our northern residents (NT, YT, NU). In this case you will not need a license or need to activate StudioTax 2025 in order to Netfile and print your returns.
* When determining the eligibility, the amounts of lines 11600 and line 14700 are excluded from line 15000. Also, for linked returns, both returns are evaluated together and the combined total limit is 40K."

OfflineMany NETFILE software providers offer to do returns of lower income filers for free.
Taxfreeway is another:
* If your total family income (line 15000 of form T1) is $20,000 or less, you can prepare and NETFILE your tax return with TaxFreeway for Windows at no cost.

OfflineDoes anyone know where one can go and get a paper T1 tax return and related schedules here in Toronto? I tried the Canada Post stations and was told that tax forms are no longer available at the post office. I tried 1 Front Street and all the doors are locked with signs that say"Go Away". Why does the CRA make it impossible to get a paper T1? I suppose one could call them on the telephone. Good luck if you can get through and pray the Canada Post workers don't go on strike.

You could order the T1 tax return online and have it mailed to your residence. It took about 2 weeks for it to arrive for me. Or you could print it out at 'Canada.ca' website.
