Very consistent, I must say, with their attitude on other related matters.

I agree.
I closed all my EQ accounts including TFSA and RRSP.

Makes sense to me, EQ's a digital bank, not full service. I'd never have an RRSP or RRIF with a limited services bank but other stuff is absolutely fine. Been with them since day one and am very pleased, for the specific areas they're good at.

DEAN: I don't accept any electronic communications from any financial institution. I am still waiting for my promised T5, though Oaken did give me an "estimate" of earned interest by phone. They couldn't have sent an electronic slip, as they have no URL of any kind for me.

AltaRed: There's no way a cost of about $2.50 to generate, print and mail (at their corporate cut-rates) once a year would make a difference to offered deposit rates. After all, most FI's that I know charge for mailed statements manage to do it for $1-$2 per mailing, save for Wealth One, which wants $5. (And I turfed them.)

CPP and OAS tax slips used to be some of the first to arrive, but this year nothing in sight yet.

The main accomplishment of almost all organized protests is to
annoy people who are not in them.

I pulled them off Service Canada perhaps 10-14 days ago. Spouse got hers (paper copy) early last week. She has not bothered to convert any tax slips to online PDF yet, which is her decision of course.

Chatted with Hubert 2 minutes ago ... "They're in the mail" ...

There's a lot to like about Hubert but Tax-Slip delivery isn't one of them ...

They will send you T5 by email if you call them. Chat request will not work.

We shouldn't have to call them to get our T5's ❗

They're supposed to send them to us 'Automatically' (by mail and/or online),
No Later than Feb. 28 (today). sf-confused

No one has to call. The T5s have to be postmarked by the end of today Feb 28th. One may not actually receive them for another 5 days depending on how long it takes Canada Post to deliver them by donkey.

T5 are in the mail. If you have to have them NOW, calling them T5 will be send by email so you will have at the end electronic and paper version.
