I just kept calling back each day, first call on Saturday, then on Monday, then on Tuesday. When I called on Tuesday the customer service rep was able to give me a temporary password to set up the online access.

FYI, I don't think you can etransfer yet. When I went to etransfer from Scotiabank there was no LBC Digital on the list, just B2B and Laurentian. So as far as I know, initial deposit will have to take place after you link your account. You should have already got an email that your account is valid, and once you get online access you can start the linking process. I added an account to link yesterday, and microdeposits still aren't in Scotiabank to finalize the linkup.

Yes, you can send and receive interac e-transfer via LBC.

LBC Worked well for me. Took 2 days after linking my Bmo account before the 2 smalls deposits arrived.

I tried etransfering and selecting LBC but I couldn't complete the transaction as I was never given an Access code, just a temporary password over the phone a few days later after the botched account opening at the beginning. I didn't realize you needed an Access code so never asked for one. Little did I realize that the Access code is the only way you can accept an etransfer. I will try calling them again today...sigh.... meanwhile money is in the cloud.

Just opened account with LBC Digital - love this forum, thanks everyone!

I opened checking account first. When submitted last page of input, site took over 3-4 minutes to accept and reply. I thought I've got timeout or some other issue. Finally, page with confirmation opened - I am in!
So, just be patient if you've got spinning wheel at last step that seem to stuck.

Logged to my new account and opening HISA was very simple from within.

Now, time to link my other banks, move funds, and wait for new shiny debit card from LBC to arrive.

PS. Still can't open account with B2B, no matter how many time I tried, but LBC can do for now.

Hint in case you don't already know this -- if you take another stab at opening a B2B account, make sure you begin with a different email address for a User ID or it will fail for sure

I phoned today and they said if I choose the b2b login it won't ask for access code. But they also said my account wasn't set up for etransfer and they would email tech support to set me up, which would take 24-48 hr.

Worked for me at LBC thanks to the advice from members on this forum. Opened both chequing and savings accounts. Set up transfer to my big bank. Was complete in one day. Transferred some cash to each account from big bank. Money showed up almost immediately. Waited another day and then transferred $1 using interac from big bank.

Seems to work well at LBC. Now repeating process with B2B.

P.S. If you are asked for an access code for an interac transfer, you are trying to connect to Laurentian Big Bank, not Laurentian Digital so be careful which financial institution you select to receive the interac transfer. LBC does not require an "access code" to accept an interac transfer.

Sorry forgot to mention. It will start working 48 hours after you open the account.

I just opened an LBC Digital high interest savings account (HISA) and my application was accepted. However, when I tried to login using my email address and password that I used to apply for the HISA, it tells me that the username and password are invalid.
1. Is there a waiting time after account opening before I can login? If yes, how long?
2. Can I set up electronic fund transfers from my other financial institution directly to my LBC Digital HISA?
3. A post on this thread referred to an "access code". Why do I need this, and do I get it by calling LBC Digital?
Thank you.

There is no access code, I was choosing wrong bank ( I chose Laurentian Bank instead of B2B/Laurentian ) to do an etransfer. There's just a login name and password. I had to call in over a few days until I finally got a temporary password since mine errored out during account creation, but others may chime in who were successful right away in account creation.

I also got an email from them saying that etransfer to and from LBC Digital only works with the chequing account, not with the HISA. So I opened a chequing account just now, but I guess I also have to wait 48 hr till they set me up properly at the back end for etransfer. My whole account was messed up since it errored out during the opening process, so first I had no way of logging in at all, and now I have no way of doing an etransfer, even though I now have a chequing account and I'm choosing the right bank.

Thanks, guys! Just what I needed in addition to the B2B bank 🙂

Pro-tip if you're using a gmail account, you can sign up for multiple accounts like by throwing in a . anywhere. So firstlast@gmail.com is your gmail? All emails sent to first.last@gmail.com also go to inbox and so do f.i.rstlast@gmail.com etc.

So in this case - B2B login is firstlast@gmail.com and Laurentian login is first.last@gmail.com since the same address isn't allowed.

1. I was able to access my account immediately after completion of an application. There was no "waiting period" for me.

2. You should be able to - HISA has its own account number. You might not be able to print VOID cheque for Savings account, I can't, but just use bank # and transit # with HISA account number. It should work.

This is what FAQ says: "You can deposit money into your High Interest Savings Account (HISA) by linking the account with your other financial institution or by transferring money from your LBC Digital Chequing Account."

Yes good tip. Also note that firstlast+xxx@gmail.com accomplishes the same thing, where xxx is anything you want.

Is it possible you already have a B2B account and you use same email to setup LBC ? I got same error message above due to same email address for both. You can confirm if you are able to login to LBC portal using ur new psd u picked for LBC. If that is the case, you need to call them so that they change ur LBC to a different email. Otherwise you will have a ghost account under LBC that you cant access.

Questions for the current users:

1- Is there a mobile app available for LBC Digital ?

2- Once you are on the website and on your HISA, is there a place where you see the current interest rate ? (something like "account details")

Note: I am still working on finalizing the initial setup process... not fully done yet.

They use the same awful Equifax product as B2B. Since I'm locked out of that one and have no luck with it, I can't open an account here either.

Very frustrating.
