Tangerine site has the Chatbot (AI) and the CHAT WITH US option which you have to be logged on to use.
After you log in you click on Contact us in the bottom and then scroll completely down. That's where you see the: By online chat session. Then you click on: chat with us. (its not always available).

I rarely call any FI. You could try the live chat. Sign on. Go to Contact us. At the bottom there is a live online chat. Not sure how long it will take to get a live agent since I have NEVER used the service. See 101.

Usually I try to phone them between 8 and 9 in the morning. Wait times are often shorter then.
Also, don't know if you have noticed this, but when you go to their "Contact Us" area on the Tang website they tell you the telephone "Estimated call wait" times prior to making calls, if that helps.

The most I could have gotten from either Hubert or Achieva is 1.5%, so I decided to just take what was offered. Oh well..

When I called the expected wait time was 1 hour, and I only had to wait about 10-15min, so not bad; personally if I ever wait on the phone for more than 5min, I do while I'm doing other meaningless work (ie. check emails, etc.).
I specifically asked that question if my 1.6% also included my Tangerine US account, but they said it does not.

That never works, I always have to write gibberish so that the AI doesn't understand, and I keep adding gibberish until the AI then finally relents and offers the different ways to contact them, and "sometimes" it offers the online live chat, but I find that it tends to be only random.

That never works, I always have to write gibberish so that the AI doesn't understand, and I keep adding gibberish until the AI then finally relents and offers the different ways to contact them, and "sometimes" it offers the online live chat, but I find that it tends to be only random.
Check post 101.
I do not like waiting, waiting ... not knowing how long. I deal with a FI that has Call Back. If they are busy they call back. Normally have to wait 10 minutes. When I had several questions one day in early 2019 I called 3 times. Call Back worked fine. I only called them once since early 2019.

Yea, that's what I meant. I've tried many times was post 101 says, but it has never worked for me. It always says, "Sorry! We'd love to chat, but our Associates are all chatting away with other Clients right now. Please try again in a few minutes."

So my previous promotion of 2.5% expired yesterday Sept 30th. The bonus interest was deposited on Oct 1st. I've moved the balance from my savings account over to the checking account. Called up Tangerine which didn't take too long at 1:30am. I was offered 1.6% on whole balance on my CAD savings account for 150 days. I didn't accept the offer. I asked for a transfer out of almost the whole balance out to a linked external account since DIY online, there's a transaction limit.

No need. Either type customer service in the chat box and it presents you with the Contact Us link. If you are logged in, when you click the link it takes you to that page which lists all the estimated wait times for each service, banking, credit card, mortgages, online chat too, etc.

Haven't received an offer...yet. Took longer than normal for that one to appear after my Aug 31 promo ended. Must be trying to co-ordinate with those that ended Sep 30. Usually I get them about a week or so after everyone else. MIGHT be worth it to guarantee 1.7 until Feb. The way rates are heading...not sure how long Motive's 1.75 will last.

Simplli Financial is giving between 2% to 2.3%, as opposed to Tangerines 1.7% . You might want to check that out.

Not seeing it. Got $200 bonus for new customers (with conditions) and 2.3% for existing customers. Can't find ANYTHING on their website. Have my hands full with Tangerine's games anyway...looks like Simplii is operating out of the same playbook.

I used to receive Tangerine offers regularly, but I don't have that one. Would not mind to lock 1.7% till February next year, and could move some money right away.
Well, perhaps another day (or another offer)...
