I think the unfortunate part of this whole lockdown is that this was going on for at least a couple of months before China reported the outbreak, limiting chances of preventing its spread.
Despite that, it probably would have been unnecessary to have a generalized lockdown if:
1)Minister of Health and Chief Public Health Officer hadn't spewed WHO doctrine at the beginning and insisted it was ok to allow flights of potentially infected people in from countries with high rates of COVID to arrive in Canada, and there was no need to isolate them for 2 weeks after arrival.
2)Should have insisted from the beginning anyone going out in public had to wear a mask.
3)Distributed proper PPE to nursing home staff and hospital staff from the beginning, and maintained proper supervision of nursing homes and not allow some of them to have over 100 patients being looked after by the few staff who hadn't gotten sick or abandoned ship.
4)Closed schools and large gatherings like Sweden.
5)Self isolation for anyone over 65, or immunocompromised,and free delivery of groceries and supplies to this group.

It's almost criminal the way the government, looking mainly at Trudeau and Dr. Tam, have handled it, saving few lives and ruining our economy for generations. Most of what I posted is common sense to anyone. I hate to be a conspiracy theorist, but is there some people at top levels profiting from all this?

@Doug I'm watching it, but I've seen so many more radical conspiracy videos than this that this one seems overly generous. Other ones suggest that Dr. Fauci, director of the NIH, paid for the virology lab in Wuhan to carry on chimeric viral research after it was banned in USA. And unfortunately, they released an enhanced virus with elements of HIV, Ebola and other virii spliced into it. Also that asking everyone to distance themselves 6 or more feet allows governments to track everyone on an individual level which is difficult if we stay close together. That the Chinese government waited to notify the world about the virus since they wanted a natural disaster to occur so they did not have to comply with the trade deal that would have forced them to make large purchases from USA. (There was a provision calling for consultations between the parties if “a natural disaster or other unforeseeable event outside the control of the Parties delays a Party from timely complying with its obligations under this Agreement.” ) .
That there are not large groups of people dying around the world from COVID, they are just putting COVID on the death certificate to make the outbreak sound worse . That these patients would have survived if they had been put on CPAP or BIPAP instead of respirators. etc etc

It's hard to know what to believe and what not to believe from all that's gone on. But you can count on not being able to believe what is being told to us from Trudeau, Tan, Hadju, and Freeland.
