Opening An Overview of Favorite Sites Simultaneously | Your stories | Discussion forum

In response to an earlier discussion, this will explain how I set up my browser to simultaneously open links to the websites of 20 financial reporting sites, including some specific financial institutions I like to monitor.

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge bookmarks can be used to open all the websites contained in the same folder. I don't have experience with Firefox nor other browsers so I can't say if it would work there.

Create a new folder in the browser's Favorites or Bookmarks and save the URL addresses of the sites you want to open simultaneoulsy in that folder. I named my folder "A Quick Comparison Group" which puts it at the top of the alphabetical listing of folders.

Access your new folder in your Favorites / Bookmarks and right click on the folder name. Right click (context sensitive menu) is important! Select "Open All" (you may be asked to confirm your request) and your entire list of website links will open in your browser in a series of tabs that you can view one at a time.

Of course, you can always open any of these links individually by left clicking any of the names of the sites within that folder.
