In our little corner of S.E. BC, gas prices can Now vary by as much as 14¢/L, depending on what part of our area you happen to be in that day.
On a random basis, I started using the 'Gas Buddy' website to monitor gas prices in our area a few years ago, but due to the recent Ever Rising gas prices, I use it Religiously now.
For those who may not be aware ... the use of the 'Gas Buddy' Website is Free, both to monitor gas prices in your area and to participate in the reporting of gas prices.
Over a period to time, A Good Chunk O' Change can be saved❗

Using GasBuddy, I just saved ~$11 gassing up my Tacoma while driving through one of our local towns. The other two town's gas prices were
over 14¢/L more !
In spite of it's one or two small shortcomings (which don't bother most folks), GasBuddy can be quite handy. You can save a few $s along the way . . .
and it's 'Free'.

Do you Really need a truck?
Hmmm ... an unusual, unrelated question!
But OK, I'll play along . . .
Short answer: 'Yes'
Long answer: My work & business requires the daily use of a mid-sized pickup truck (for hauling, towing, etc.) ... hence the Toyota Tacoma I mentioned above in Post #11. It also often gets used as a pickup truck on the weekends & holidays, for similar reasons.
.
So now it's Your Turn . . .
Q1> Why would you be concerned about the vehicle I drive?!
Q2> Do you Really need the vehicle that You drive ... and why?
.
Let's see where this goes

I asked as I see less and less sedans on the road but more and more trucks and SUVs in urban areas. I guess brainwashing that these boxes are 'safe' works well on Canadians.
A#1 - I am not. Those boxes are terrible gas guzzlers and useless in urban environment same as SUVs where maybe, just maybe 1% of owners ever go to ride off the road. But ego and show off is stronger than a reason.
You could save all gas money if you bough teslasht truck. 'Amazing' POS product but that is just my opinion.
A#2 Yes, I do. We like to be independent and very often make daily trips exploring our province. You cannot do that with uber, taxi or share ride. Besides it helps with doctor appointments and similar must-to-do activities.
P.S. I though you are retired... not working anymore...
