We have joint account @ tangerine and indiv accounts. I got the Tiered offer of:
>500K @3% for 6 months for all savings accounts.

My wife, who is primary on the joint got offer of LESS: >500k @ 2.5% !! on the SAME phone call, same CSR. We snapped... csr came back with 3% for 90days for my wife! - we've escalated..

Whoever signed off on these algorithms should be make to defend them.. This makes no sense! Different promos for people sharing joint accounts.
Is it because I'm a Mr.? & She's a Mrs?

3% sounds low, 2.5% even lower. Are these Tang's top rates?

I haven't heard fromTang since forever.

So we had the same amount of money in our tang accounts over the last 2 month but our interest payout dropped. $162 to $105. Our promo rate ended Sept 30th how is that possible?

Coincidence? My wife almost always has lower offers than mine at Tangerine.

Tangerine has updated their tiered rate offer as of Nov. 1, and seem to have made it mandatory for the next nine months! No need to accept this offer, as it does not seem to be optional.

Rates are to vary between 0.50% and 3.00% depending on totals in your accounts.

I guess the usual 3-4 month offers are a thing of the past? These rates do not appeal to me, so my money will be leaving Tangerine for other promos, when they are available.

If that's what is coming when our offers expire 10/31 and 11/30 then our $ are moving too.

My $ left as soon as i got this offer a couple months back. At least with the 3 or 5 month promo rate it was worth keeping your money at Tangerine, but now, if this is the new norm moving forward, then definitely not worth it.

I'll post here: my most recent Tang new money offer expired June 30, and crickets until today, 3% Nov 6 - Jan 31, 2026. This offer was in my Insights today.
I have not received any tiered offers that others have referenced; that would be a huge NO GO for me too!
I have seen this latest offer, or similar, referenced elsewhere today...curious how widespread the offer is...

Thanks for sharing! I just checked and got the same offer.

Crickets since my last extension expired at the end of March. I use to get them quite consistently for years, oh well. Based on the rates they're offering, I don't feel a sense of hurt.

For $500K!!! Wow that's a slap in the face. I mean, I like the 9 months commitment, but certainly not for that rate with that amount (or more)!

Received the same offer as Dentgal so I'm moving on. I'm tired of their games and having to beg for decent rates.

Oaken is paying 2.8% on its savings account.

RBC Royal Bank is offering one-year fixed-rate cashable GIC's at 2.05% or at targeted 2.15%. Cashable starting Day 30 with accrued interest and without penalty.

The worst part of this 'offer' is that you cannot reject it (at least for me that was not an option). I believe that I will never get a competitive rate offer from them until it expires.
Let me state the obvious, I am not playing, either.

Same here - no option to reject.

The weird part is on 12/05, my spouse received a 12/05-02/28 3.5% offer. Then on 12/10 I received the 12/10-09/30 tiered offer.

My 3.95% bonus rate ended on November 30th. All funds were transferred out on December 8th. And between my partner and myself, it has been a good approximately 2-year run on Tangerine bonus rate offers and extensions, none of which came by email – they have always been found in our Insights. The tiered interest rate email arrived in my inbox yesterday. No offers of any kind for my partner at this time.
