Lately, the months for interest end on the last Wednesday of the month. See the recent attempts to verify Simplii's interest calculation.
Simplii has not paid monthly interest using calendar months for years now. At one point, the months for interest ended on the second to last business day of the month.

Just check the statement for the account and it shows the dates.

Do not need to calculate interest, amount was 100% correct, I checked for several months. If your amount is different, you need what is wrong on your side, not on Simplii or Tangerine side. ex: you misunderstood term and condition, start and end date....

thanks everyone for your input re Interest [calc and timing] on the Simplii promo.
All looks good from my perspective.
btw, I noticed a recent promo on Meridian website, 5.20% for 4 mths. Not sure if there was any forum discussion on this ? It works for current customers, but I never did receive a notification. Hmmmm. Anyone else ? thanks.
regardless, the "loose change" is now fully committed to Simplii, at least until the last few days of Feb/25 😉

Had a question if anyone can help, got my promo interest on Dec 2 from the promo that ended on Nov.15th but didn't receive any interest yet from the promo that started on Nov.19th. Did anyone get 2 promo interests at beginning of December?

Looks like the final promo interest for this "offer" was paid on April 2, 2025!
Stmt period October 31, 2024 - November 27, 2024 (1st promo paid on Dec 2)
Stmt period November 28, 2024 - December 29, 2024 (2nd promo paid on Jan 2)
Stmt period December 30, 2024 - January 29, 2025 (3rd promo paid on Feb 3)
Stmt period January 30, 2025 - February 26, 2025 (4th promo paid on Mar 3)
Stmt period February 27, 2025 - March 30, 2025 (5th promo paid on Apr 2)
I was misled briefly to think I earned a promo on the subsequent promo (based on Feb 28 balance). But then I don't get any promo paid during the beginning of May.
