OfflineReceived this offer in a popup page at online banking login:
† This special interest rate offer is available starting on June 3, 2026 and ending on September 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm UTC (the “Offer Period”), by invitation only, to primary account holders of a Simplii Financial High Interest Savings Account opened before the Offer Period (an “Eligible HISA”). Account holders must enrol their Eligible HISAs in the offer through online banking or by contacting Simplii Financial.
The special annual interest rate of 2.50% is a combination of regular annual interest rate (“Regular Interest”) and promotional annual interest rate (“Promotional Interest”) set by Simplii Financial. Any change to the Regular Interest will result in a corresponding change to the Promotional Interest so that the overall special annual interest rate will remain 2.50% from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period.
Regular Interest is calculated daily at the current rate applicable to the Eligible HISA balance on each day’s full closing balance. Promotional Interest is calculated daily on each day's closing balance that exceeds the closing balance as at June 1, 2026 (the “Additional Balance”) up to a maximum balance limit of $1,000,000.
Eligible HISAs will earn Promotional Interest from the date of enrolment until the end of the Offer Period. Regular Interest and Promotional Interest are paid monthly. For clarity, Promotional Interest is paid within the first two business days following the month in which it was calculated. Promotional Interest will only be paid if the enrolled Eligible HISA is active and in good standing at the time of payment. After the Offer Period, all balances will continue to earn interest at the Regular Interest rate only. For the current regular interest rates, visit our rates page.

OfflineMy offer came in the form of an email, but no mention of the actual interest rate. There is no offer at all when I log into my account on the web!
Clicking on the "accept offer" button in the email leads to an error message that the page cannot load. Trying to connect to a human on a chat just led to a chat box with no submit button at all! And more error messages.
Frustrating. And all this for a paltry 2.5%(?) for four months?

OfflineTheir offers system is still shaky.
The "My Offers" page is going back and forth between "Refer a friend! You can earn $125. …" and "You have no offers at this time." No sign of that earlier 2½% offer.
I'm hoping their system has forgotten that I was offered 2½%. Maybe it will assign me their 3.2% offer instead later!

I just received offer in email form .... 3.20% until Sept 30th.
As I have nothing else going on, after my current 4.60% CIBC HISA offer expires at month end, will likely Accept. Beats anything on the HISA Rate Chart. 😉
fwiw, when I logged into my account, there was nothing about the 3.20% in the OFFERS tab, just the usual Refer A Friend b.s ...
however, when I went to the email from 2 days ago, and selected 'Enroll Now', it said I was 'in', and would receive a confirming email. Ten minutes later I did receive that email. 🙂

Hmm, maybe they've given up on their useless and inconsistent targeting through the app and website, now it's only by email? I suspect there's no way to decline an email offer if it was deemed too low, unlike when online or through the app and hope for a better offer? They've truly gone downhill since the rebranding.

OfflineOne still has to accept the offers from Simplii. They've even changed their fine print so that the promotional interest is paid from the day that one accepts the offer. Used to be paid from the start of promotion period even when one accepts a few weeks later.
I actually didn't accept the 2½% offer. Previously, Simplii gave a better offer in a few weeks if one didn't accept.

Both myself and my wife received and declined the 2.5% offer. We had just completed the 3% offer that ended at the end of May.
Patience is key, just wait a bit for a slightly better offer where they state something to the effect, " You played hard to get so here's a special offer just for you ".
They truly are human trash, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

OfflineThe 'accept offer' link in my email from Simplii never did work, and I still had no offers showing when I logged in. Today I phoned Simplii and was informed that yes there is an offer for me, 2.5% til September. I informed the agent that was too low, and I declined to accept it. (I'm getting 5.0% at Scotia Bank)
Perhaps I will get a better offer later?

Had a 2.5% offer popup in the app, declined it and will wait to see if they'll up their low-ball offer.

Just accepted Simplii at 3.4% until September 30, 2026. Strange how they come up with all these different rates for different people.

OfflineTheir offers system is now stable.
Unfortunately, their system didn't forget about offering me 2½%. The "My Offers" page now works and shows that earlier 2½% offer I declined.
The system also sent me a "Want to earn more savings this summer?" e-mail:
Earn 2.50%† on eligible deposits to your High Interest Savings Account
Summer’s about to get richer.
Open a Simplii High Interest Savings Account and earn 2.50%† on all eligible deposits — up to $1,000,000.
No fees, no minimums. No fixed terms. Just a great rate all until Sep. 30. Terms apply.
Hit “Accept offer” and let’s go.
Accept offer‡
‡ Only clients targeted with the promotional offer are eligible to enrol. The promotional interest cannot be substituted or transferred to a third party. The offer is non-transferable and cannot be combined with other promotional rate offers. The offer may be withdrawn, cancelled or changed without notice at any time. By clicking the "Accept offer" button, you agree to accept the promotional offer through digital banking. Upon successful enrolment, you will receive a confirmation email detailing the eligible High Interest Savings Account(s) included in the offer.

OfflineThis should be a new topic, I guess.
I have logged into my Simplii account and an offer was waiting for me: 3.40% until end of August.
I accepted it without checking the details... then I realized that I made a mistake. The fine print:
Only new deposits that exceed the account’s closing balance as of June 1, 2026 will earn the special interest rate. This includes any deposits you make before September 30, 2026 up to $1,000,000. All other deposits will earn interest at your regular interest rate.
On June 1, 2026 I still had a significant amount in my account (from my previous 3.20% offer, which ended on may 31, 2026).
There is no Cancel or Un-accept button... so I am stuck now with an offer which I cannot use.
I know, my mistake 🙂
I am just wondering if they are only sending this offer to people who had a significant balance as of June 1, 2026 .

They've done it before, just need to make sure funds are out the next day after the previous offer expires so that your closing balance is close to zero. Of course if the next day is not a business day one needs to potentially lose out on some interest by doing it prior to.

Simplii likely doesn't consider the savings account balance. I've received targeted offers from them with less than $10 in the savings account.
Simplii is actually CIBC, one of the Big 5 Banks. Those banks can raise short-term funds through deposit notes. The going rate for those 30 day and 60 day notes is around 2%.
Consequently, these offers are more marketing exercises than attempts to raise funds.

Likewise, I leave a few cents in the account and still receive the offers.
