Maybe they blocked your log in until they checked that the $25 was posted correctly .

Well, I can't get into EQ again! Arrived home from vacation yesterday afternoon and have been trying since then. Just keep getting message that they're having difficulties. Anyone else not able to log in? It's 6:30 am in Ontario.

Thanks all. I finally phoned in and got the problem resolved. They said I'd put in the wrong password but I'd changed it in case that was the problem, so who knows. "All's well that ends well"!

But, if the incorrect password was the problem, why not get a message saying so rather than "we are experiencing difficulties"?

They are probably guessing at what the problem was. "Technical difficulties" is a catch-all.
It's always easier to blame the customer, who has few defences. That would be consistent with my experience of them.
