What are the experts in here thinking? Are Canadian Tire rates going to increase soon, or should I just go somewhere else with my money?

I am already slightly agitated with them, as come to find out I have to a paper/snail mail with them to link an another external account?

Thanks!

.
I don't consider myself one of the Experts here, but I will say this . . .

Whatever luster CTB had in the past, is now Long Gone. There are just
so many much better FI's to deal with, these days (Oaken, EQ, Motive,
    etc. ... ).
    .
Leave a dollar or two in your CTB SA (just in case things turn around there one day), and move the rest of your $$$ to Greener Pastures.

I've never dealt with CTB. That's because their reputation didn't seem appealing to me, even when their rates were good.

If it's rates you're after, CTB has gone through periods when it wasn't competitive, and also periods when it was. These periods have seemed to be relatively long. My sense is that they are on the downward curve right now in terms of competitiveness although rates may rise a bit as other FIs are doing.

Bottom line, if you're not happy, move on! Like Dean says, you can always come back if you want.

Thank you for the replies... CT just hit strike 3 with me, as they have refused a micro deposit from Hubert.

1) Low rate
2) hurdles to link external account, need paper & snail mail
3) hurdles to link to account from another FI, refused micro deposit.

Who are these people, It's March 2022!

Make sure the full account number, as described previously, is used.

Some people have ran into issues trying to add their Canadian Tire HISA as an external account at another financial institution. The microdeposit linking seems to be iffy for some reason.

I said the same thing, I have a whole topic on it.
Be a cold day in Hades before CTC gets any more of my money.
