Question: Lactantia lactose free milk 4L, packaged in 3 plastic bags, the packaging is good or not?

I bought Natrel lactose free milk 4L in 3 plastic bags, had a problem leaking slightly, the 3 plastic bags were not broken but kept leaking, I did not know how the milk was keeping leaking , leaking and leaking. Milk is packaged in paper cartons, NOT good. The paper cartons are easy to get broken.

Is your leakage covered by CDIC?

Coverage is actually provided by the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC, not CDIC), up to the first 100,000 litres. There are separate deposit categories for each breed of dairy cattle. Joint farms are covered to a combined limit for the farmer and his wife, plus the proverbial farmer's daughter where applicable.

Chocolate milk and cheese are covered under the applicable category, but non-dairy "milks" are not eligible.

A non comedian response.
1. That packaging was tried decades ago. And did not return.
a. Leaking was an issue.
b. Real milk is not supposed to be in a clear container. You might want to verify what the best storage container is for that type of milk.
c. To find leak….slightly squeeze the bag.

I would assume the sealing of the bags is not as good as it could be.

TAKE IT BACK TO YOUR RETAILER….REASON…BAG IS LEAKING.

Edit:
Check here

Milk bags with leaks in them.

Also milk that leaks in fridge and into the insulation in the fridge wall will give you an undesirable aroma for years to come.

For a variety of regulatory and economic reasons, I believe, Ontario was historically a big "bag milk" province for the 4L packaging - when I spent some time in Ottawa 15 years ago, the only place you could get a 4L jug was generally a small convenience like 7-11. I tended to find the bags a nuisance (getting the corner cut right, always running out mid-glass), but I go through a fair bit. I think things are moving away from that, but I don't know for sure. Nova Scotia big grocery stores often have both. I don't think bags were that big west of Ontario historically. But they've been a constant presence for decades, not a failed experiment or anything. Generally it is just 3 bags totaling 4L, and the outer wrapper is usually at least semi-opaque with printed matter.

Is this a metaphor for GIC and HISA rates?

We have plasticized cardboard containers that have a 10 cent refundable deposit. For over 2 litres we have an all plastic textured somewhat opaque container that also has a 10 cent refundable deposit.

Neither have leak issues. In the old days the cardboard container was wax lined and rarely could leak.

Lots of people just put their milk containers in to the recycling and don’t bother with the refund process.

The recycling process and return for deposit process is cumbersome here and needs a major overhaul but too much bureaucracy will prevent it to ever happen.

Milk sold in bags is a gimmick as well, forcing you to buy more.

Human adults do NOT need to drink milk. This is all clever propaganda and brainwashing by milk lobby. Particularly when they remove EVERYTHING from 'milk' and you drink just white water.
If you are REALLY milk lover, get raw milk.

I have to drink milk to get some calcium, I also have to drink lactose free milk now.

Neilson and President Choice Milk, 4L in 3 small plastic bags, I bought in the past, never had leaking issue. But in Shopper Drug Mart, they only have Neilson lactose free milk in paper carton, paper carton is easy to get broken.

Lactantia lactose free milk 4L, in Food Basic, I do not know if it has leaking issue or not.

Is this really leaking or just condensation, with pure water being what's accumulating?

Respectfully, can someone tell me what this topic has to do in any way with high interest savings? Is there not another place for this discussion?

And back at ya, respectfully.

The OP used the forum “Your Stories”
Basically did nothing incorrectly.
So the old saying says……if you don’t like the channel, change it.
