ING direct holding rrsp's from my mom after my fathers death!

Its been 5 months now since my fathers death and ING is still holding a large sum of money in the form of rrsp's from my mom who is the sole beneficiary. I don't know what kind of games they are playing but was just wondering if anyone else has had any problems like this? I am not pleased with the emotional distress this is causing my mother. What can be done?
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

how do we withdraw money from ING by the way?
by withdraw, i mean, get the cash as in cold cash ["real-deal-canadian bills-in-your-hands"]and not transfer the account balance to any other financial institution...

coz they say, with canadian tire financial[who is also a online bank] you can withdraw via ATMs under the exchange network and PC financial, use any CIBC teller machines. with ING i have no idea...:???:

Use an ing bank machine.

I don't recommend ING to anyone for the simple fact that if you die, your money will be lost, or in limbo for who knows how long. Not something your spouse or beneficiary will want to go through.

ANY financial institution will be slow to pay out until all the legal hoops and jumps are fulfilled. ING isn't any harder to deal with, and is a good but more pleasant than most I've dealt with.
