I’ve just seen that Rosenort’s TFSA variable savings account is 1.9%. They cover transfer fees $5/$1000. CSR said she hasn’t heard any talk of the rate being reduced.
GICs are:
5 yr. 1.9
4 yr. 1.85
3 yr. 1.75
2 yr. 1.7
1 yr. 1.65.
These rates are not on the website, one has to phone and ask.

Is this CU accessible to most Canadians? Please provide qualifiers if not.

Membership open to all Canadians outside of Quebec.

However their savings accounts pay interest based on minimum monthly balance and paid annually. Not the same as the daily interest accounts most of us are used to.

More details about the Rosenort savings accounts are in your post last year.

Odd that Rosenort doesn't put the info on their web site. Their site is silent on how interest is calculated on their TFSA and RESP accounts.

There are a number of smaller CUs that don't post their rates, or post them only some of the time. I don't know their reasoning; may vary.

Could be little or no demand from their members to have current rates available online.

We had looked at one small credit union, Adjala CU, that doesn't even have its own ATM!
