Up until about a year ago, my Wife & I had a Major long-running Gold Mine of Tangerine special SA offers.
Sadly, that's all run dry since then ... with Nada offers for many months now.
I guess they don't like us no more.

Don't feel bad, I recently went a whole year without an offer. Prior to that, I ignored an offer once and got blackballed for 9 months.

I had logged in earlier today, to download my statement. Nada there.
Just went back in now, after reading these messages
Lo and behold, there is the 4.25% until Jul 31!
After a dry spell, I did have one that ran out March 31, so only a one month lag
Spouse just had one run out on April 30, so, of course, I had just finished transfering her funds out of Tangerine
Now, they will be going back-- under my account
Sort of like musical chairs, I guess
Anyway, pretty fortunate to get this
I had moved all CAD funds to WFCU, but really didn't have a home for the USD-- so this works nicely

Well my 9 months of Tangerine Jail (AKA low tiered rate offer) ended on March 31st. I was pretty happy to see the 4.25% offer until July 31st when I logged into my account today.

I logged into Tangerine yesterday and got the 4.25% promotional offer Until July 31st to. They left me hanging for a month but then came back to me! I got the email today regarding the promotional interest rate off. They still love to slow roll you a little if you don't log in..lol.

My 'Tang jail' time is not over yet. It ends this month, though. Fingers crossed for the June lottery.

I just got an email from Tangerine announcing the good news that, starting June 1, I've been promoted to the tiered savings rates. I can get 3.5% if I have $500K on deposit. 
Has anyone been given the 3-month promo lottery rate after being migrated to tiered interest rates? Or am I stuck with this uninspiring "promo" forevermore?

I never get automated ones. I almost never get selected for them (except the 9 Month offer which was pretty decent).

Tiered interest is just a cheap trick to cut rates. Interest rates on savings are never enough to make up for the risk involved in uninsured cash.

I've been in the tiered rate scheme (scam) for almost one year now and have received zero promos during this time. I don't know when the tiered promo ends, or if it will be a life sentence!

Any new Tang SA special offer (new promo rate) can potentially have very different rules.
To be safe while waiting for a new Tang SA special offer, it's best not to assume that $$$ from your Tang Chequing Account will qualify in their next SA special offer.

I've yet to see them count the funds in the chequing account as part of the snapshot in the 8 years I've been spinning the Tangerine lottery wheel, that's not to say it can't happen.

Though very rare, it has happened in the last 8 years. You may have simply been leaped over, if you were already in another overlapping promo without that condition.

Thanks folks. Playing this lottery, I just want to avoid moving the funds around the world prior to a huge bill that will be coming in (a few days past the 'safe date' of the week before May 31st - gah!).

I have been stuck with the tiered interest rate 'deal' for almost 2 years now. I used to do almost all my banking with Tangerine going back to the ING Direct days, probably 20 years ago. Now, I haven't done anything with them for a couple years. Very sad how they are being run now.

You can often see these promos under the "Insights" tab... if you are selected. But I'm sure they will always send an email as well.
