Tier rates apply to eligible savings account from MA01 until OC31, 2026

Rate Total Daily Balance
2.75% $0-$49,999
3.00% $50,000-$99,999
3.25% $100,000-$499,999
3.50% $500,000+

We’ll calculate your total balances across all your eligible savings, chequing, and *investment accounts ACB* and apply your tiered rate to your existing eligible registered and non-registered savings account(s) on a daily basis, and paid monthly

Finally my 1st time … lucky me!

Lucky me!

Congratulations ! It gives winning the Tangerine Lottery a whole new meaning. Enjoy your time away from the suspense of the monthly draw.

By far the best tiered rates I've seen. Mine are ...

0.35% $0-$49,999
0.75% $50,000-$99,999
1.75% $100,000-$499,999
2.25% $500,000+

same here, and mine does not roll off until end of May too. I have been rotating around the big6 as a "new customer" to look for a parking spot 3 months at a time...

And that's from 2025/12/10 to 2026/09/30!

Fortunately, my spouse got 4.25% 2026/04/01-06/30.

I got the same promo. I have 100k+ with Tangerine. So 2.75%, 3.00% and 3.25% apply to my account. How does Tangerine match different accounts with three different rates?

Is there any history of TNG replacing/upgrading a Tiered Rate schedule?

Say someone is on a Tiered Rate of 0.35/0.75/1.75/2.25% from 2025/12/10 to 2026/09/30.

Is there a precedent for TNG to upgrade this mid term to a better Tier like the 2.75/3.00/3.25/3.50% just introduced?

Or is this wishful thinking?

Can't speak to precedent, maybe not giving them any of your money until they up their rate schedule would likely help. Depositing funds at the lower rates essentially tells them you're okay with them. Maybe they're playing the same game as Simplii and low-ball initially to see if they get any bites-deposits.

I had reduced my deposits to $1/account at TNG a few days prior to the end of my last real promo of 3.9% on 2025/11/30. So, basically empty for 4 months ...

@RYAN By your question I think you understand the tier rates incorrectly.

I understand it is one *total* balance at end of day to determine the tier rate for that day. And that rate is used to calculate one day's interest on the balance of each eligible savings account.

@hwyc Thank you for your reply. It was my misunderstanding.

For those on a ' Tiered Rate ', do you recall when it was applied to your account. Curious if Tangerine applies the change effective at the beginning of a given month and sends an email notification, or something like that?

Tangerine sent me an e-mail "Exclusive 6-month offer: Tangerine Tiered Savings Rates" the previous month. The tiered rates took effect the beginning of the next calendar month. No option to accept or decline the offer:

With our Tangerine Tiered Savings Rates*, we use your total balances across your eligible Savings, Chequing, and Investment Accounts to give you better rates on your eligible Savings for 6 months, starting February 1, 2026. …

Thanks ⬆️ I was foolishly trying to unravel the mystery of what triggers someone being awarded such an " exclusive " offer that there would be no need for an option to decline, or opt-out.

The one above. I thought it would be obvious, obviously not.

Once an offer is given to you and accepted by you, it's stuck in the account until the end date. They can't remove even if you change your mind for any reason.

I don't bother block-quoting or naming the author of a previous post if it's immediately before mine, though I know there's always the chance someone else's will intervene. Does that confuse anyone?

I know that to be true for the 3-4 moth fixed rate promos but I wasn't sure if the same applied to the much more recent non-refusable tiered promos ...
