No email, but just got it in insights. Was not there few hours ago.

A great savings rate could be just the thing you need to help you reach your savings goals faster. And now with this online-only offer, here’s how you can start earning 4.75% interest* on new deposits to your Tangerine Savings Account(s), Tax-Free Savings Account(s), RSP Savings Account(s) and now, US$ Savings Account(s):

Click the ‘Activate Now’ button below by March 31, 2024
Eligible new deposits to these Accounts from March 5, 2024 to July 31, 2024 (up to a maximum of $1,000,000† per Applicable Account Type*) will earn your special rate of 4.75%.

Once you’ve activated, here’s how it will work:
We’ll total up the balances of your eligible Savings, TFSA, RSP Savings and US$ Savings Account(s) as they were on March 4, 2024 to get your total balances per Account Type

From March 5, 2024 to July 31, 2024, you’ll earn your special interest rate on new deposits over your total balances calculated on March 4, 2024 (up to $1,000,000† per Account Type)
The rest of your Account balance will earn the current posted rate

Rubbish, Tang monitored where people transfered, and increased it a tiny amount for 150 days. Those who got the 5.5% GIC through calling in did better.
Seems Tang has enough deposits in hand.

I have funds that I need to keep in HISA. Top non-promo interest today in HISA chart is 4.15%. I just moved my HISA funds to Tangerine 4.75%.

My attitude: "Thanks, Tangerine, for adding .6% interest to my Savings. That is not much, but better than what my Savings had before. I appreciate it."

I passed on the 5.75% GIC at Tangerine. Called and they best HISA amount Tangerine could do was 4.8%, moved my money out till a better rate as I'm getting 5.5% elsewhere and 5% in DYN6004/DYN5004.

Sorry Tangerine, love ya, but step up.

Yes those who have better options available, will take them.
Of course one assumes everyone posting here has plenty of bank stocks in their ETF's etc, so in theory the shareholders benefit from higher Scotia/Tang profit.
But this Tang offer is a pass, Tang must have plenty of cash reserves.

.
I received the same 4.75% offer, via Tangerine Insights message this morning.

It's a Far Cry from the 6.00% offer I just came off of ... but Much Better than their regular rate of 0.70% (Chuckle).

Take what you can get, eh sf-smile

So, we're in the 4% range now. No more 5% range?

Also just now ... I got that same offer via email.

4.75% for five months. It's nothin' much to write home about, but it's better
than ... A-Kick-In-The-Pants. sf-wink

I just got the offer too but for 4.25% good enough for me at the moment.

Nice that it includes $US accounts as well.

Laurentian bank pays up to 4% on their HISA and there's no expiry date like the Tangerine 4% promo.

Laurentian bank pays 3% on all savings under $100,000.

If you've got 4.75% Tangerine offer, it is guaranteed 4.75% for the duration of promo, while "no expiry date" HISA regular interest may change any moment.

Promotional Interest equals the sum of Posted Rate interest and Additional Interest.
The Posted Rate may change at any time without prior notice, resulting in a corresponding change to the Additional Interest rate so that the Promotional Interest Rate remains unchanged.

I got my first HISA promo from Tang since 2017 yesterday.

5.25% until July 31. I'll move $1,000 into my savings acct, just so their algorithm sends me more promos in the summer.

p.s. Do monthly rebates from the Tang credit card count as "new money" when they arrive in my savings acct?

By definition, those cash-back rebates are 'New $$$', so I would say Yes.

This could be treaky, as Tang might exclude it as a "benefit" for its CC usage. Kind of a double dip...banks don't like that too much.
