OfflineIt appears, Tangerine now enforces $25,000 daily transfer limit to external accounts per account. Trying to send more in a single transfer generates an error message.
Error found
This transaction would put you over your daily limit. Please give us a call at 1-888-464-3232 or 416-756-2424 for further help.
I thought the limit was 50K per account/transaction?

I believe online its $25K limit, but if you call in, its $50K daily limit, but I'd call in to see there has been any updates as those criteria have been around for a while now; then please ensure to post so that we are all updated, thanks!

If u call in, u can transfer any amount that you have in your account, maybe limit to $5mm but that’s not most people’s concern

OfflineUpdating just in case it's useful : as of this date
(1) TNG daily limit for online push transactions is still $25K.
(2) from personal experience, one cannot ( oneself, online ) create two (or more) push transactions on successive days to exceed the limit.
(3) from talking to a CSR, one would have to login each day to see when the previous push transaction had occurred before creating the next one.
This last point
(4) IMHO makes the "schedule a transaction ahead of time" feature considerably less customer-friendly than it might be (and of course causes us phone-in so they can try to talk us out of transferring funds to better offers elsewhere ).
but
(5) is not unique to TNG ( e.g. I have previously experienced a similar issue at Simplii ).

OfflineThat said, it used to be possible to call in for them to override the $25K/day max by having them perform the transfer. Have you tried that? Is this still possible?
For completeness/clarity : yes, I called in. After an extensive conversation about my previous point (3), the CSR set up a single transfer of > $80K from my TNG savings account to an external account, which was deposited at the destination the next day.
HTH.
On another (slightly OT) point : a couple of weeks ago, I was able to link a TNG-external account ( at CIBC as it happens ) without using any third-party websites or services : i.e. entering the branch/institution/account numbers manually which were then verified with the "two micro-deposits" process. It took a couple of days to complete. I was pleasantly surprised : I had the impression that TNG had completely done away with the manual-entry+micro-deposit process some time ago, like several other FIs appear to have done.
HTH, again.

OfflineThis is why I like HISA accounts that has chequing account options. I will transfer a large amount from savings to chequing and write a cheque. Just one cheque withdrawal and no need for multiple transfer outs. There should be no restrictions on how large the cheque amount is but I believe it should not be more then $999,999.00.
