I accepted a 1.75% on NEW money with Tangerine in February. The biggest problem I had a large balance. The bonus is not much. Having fun. Enjoy the day.

Why would you have a large balance at 0.1% or whatever it is?

My income (i.e. pension and investment income) is deposited near/at month end. I am changing things so this will not occur in the future.

It presently seems to be all over the map for different posters. Login to your account, click on savings and then on account details. That will give you their base rate and also your promotional rate (if any).

My 1.75% expires on May 31st. I suspect a new offer, if I get one, will be less than the 1.75%. Might as well take the money out now before it is treated as "old" money and ineligible for any promotional rate.

I have 1.4% on old and new money. Originally it was to expire at the end of May but received notification that Tangerine was automatically extending it to July 10th.

The bonus offers used to come more frequently. From 2019 to NOW I have received only one offer annually. Still best to remove ALL funds before your current offer expires.
