My Mom has a Tangerine savings account with a promo period that ended last Sunday. She doesn't want to move her money but will if no further promo is offered. What should she do?

It is well documented that most are getting 2.5% on savings until May 31st. I would demand the 2.5%. Tangerine employees are like car salesmen. If the first person refuses to deal, ask to speak to someone else, maybe their higher ups.

If she has a chequing acct with Tang, maybe move it there to see if that triggers anything next week. Not too painful to move in-house, but some loss of interest.

I got a targeted call on Thursday late afternoon with a 2.7% 270 day offer . Anyone else get a call?

I got a targeted call today; I told them I didn't really have time to talk...they mentioned they had an offer I was likely to be interested in. I said that I was currently on the 2.5% offer until end of May, (don't you know)...said they will call me next week...

I went looking.... on redflagdeals.com. as of April, 2018. tangerine's 180 day deal seems to be 2.5%.
I would love to hear more about this 2.7%. New account or new money?

Got my return phone call; same deal as Returns, 2.75% for 270 days, (not new money)...time will tell if there are variations on this offer...
(As previously mentioned , I was on the Jan 3-May 31 2.5% offer new money offer)
