my wife received a letter in the mail from tangerine.
It offered 2.75% on new money in he existing savings accounts
We happened to have some parked cash and took advantage of this rate
In our existing joint hisa account
The rate is good to December 31 2018.
I think its targeted but I am not sure

of course it is targeted... who these days sends a snail mail anyway? do you live in the sticks where there is no electricity, civilization? MAIL? What is mail besides annoying real-estate, rogers and bell offers????

The offer is targeted. It is similar to a targeted offer of 2¾%, on entire balance, for 270 days, bpwest reported receiving in early April.
