I suspect you're right, mustang, I noticed my wife had hers already turned on and she never has gotten emails either.
Doesn't really matter, it usually appears in Insights or else I find out about promos on this site and can then find if I've been included by signing in and checking Account Details, etc.

Have you checked your Spam folder by any chance? Once in a while, I get an email from TNG, OAK and EQB sliding in there.

I had an issue a few years back with another provider of email offers. It wasn't a financial institution. Their tech suggested I turn off all of the notification settings from my account with them. Log off and then return a day or two later to turn them all back on. It seemed silly at the time but it worked ...

Thanks, cgouimet, the original answer when this digital world first started decades ago, i.e. unplug it, wait, then plug it in again, seems to still be the standard go-to that works for pretty much anything so I'll try that someday.

I also got an email telling me I was enrolled in this latest promo rate after being left by the curb with their tiered rate several months ago.
This seems to be a distinct change in tactics in the promos. Previously they would start around the 4th of the month with balance on that date being the "base amount" above which the bonus interest would be paid. Players would ensure to have a minimal balance at the start of the month just in case.
This time I got an email on Aug 27 informing me I'd been enrolled as of Aug 26, with balance on that day being the base amount.
Coincidentally (or not) they also have a contest based on balance at the end of each month, so anyone playing that game will tend to have a large balance towards the end of the month - reducing the impact of the promo rate.
I had all my funds moved to a 30-Day Notice account at EQ and had been evolving a system of transferring a lump sum to be deposited towards the end of the month to Tangerine to cover bills for the month. So they caught me a bit flat-footed with a larger balance than I would normally have had.
It's more like a lottery than ever.

I received emails before, but not this time. I just received another email today telling me my tiers are active, but I've yet to receive any heads up anywhere about the 4.25% until the end of Nov. No email, nothing in Insights, no notification anywhere only in the details of the accounts eligible.

Same with me. I'm stuck on their 'Tiered Scheme' as well until the end of January 2027. Never seen anything on my Insights or received anything via email regarding this 4.25% promotional interest rate offer until November. Now I'm in the process of moving all my funds out of Tangerine and into Shakepay where they're offering a 5% interest rate.

They offer a savings account now (since Tuesday August 11, 2026) where you get a 5% interest rate and the interest is paid out every week in BTC. You have to do a $2,000 paycheque deposit every month or a do a $1,000 transaction every month to achieve 'Blue Status' and get the 5% interest rate.
