Is there anyone that likes the new site.

I find it very confusing and you cannot go directly to an account and view it.
I hope they'll be like email providers that allow one to use the old site if they don't like the new one, but probably not.

I am fine with it. Not sure what you mean, when you log in you end up with the overview and all my accounts are there, simply click on the account you want to see.

No choice anymore....link to old site now sends you to the new site.

Let's Take You to Our Homepage

As a result of our recent website redesign, the page you're trying to go to is no longer live on our site.
Please continue by entering through our new homepage, tangerine.ca.

Waits until you confirm your PIN on the second log in page, then redirects you so you have to do it all again
Don't care for it.

Poorly designed website, unintuitive and confusing.

Another good reason to abandon Tangerine, IMO.

Took a few minutes to poke around the new site. Well-designed website, intuitive and clear. Another good reason to use Tangerine, IMO.sf-smile

Well, I'm in the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' camp, but we'll get used to navigating the updated site, eventually.

One feature of the old site I haven't found, and may likely be 'gone', is the "My info & options', which among other things, included 'my contest entries & bonuses' . It was nice to have the bonuses listed and archived, for easy reference.

I may call in to chat with CSR, when late Sept-early Oct 'rush' is over, if I need help wrangling new website.

It's under "Profile & Settings" then "Bonuses & Contests". You're right... we'll get used to it eventually. Still don't like it.

I never get too excited about website layouts - AS LONG AS - the account log in is visible I'm good to go, and Tangerine's I'm a Client, Let Me In is incredibly visible.

Sorry for the confusion. Old site was fine and I am already use to the new one and happy with it. Question, does anybody know if we can default the download format so we don't have to reenter it every time.

Mine are "on their way down".

I now have to e-mail them about a serious flaw, with the account's balance not updating for each transaction when multiple transactions are made per day. Also, serious flaws with their algorithms that categorize transactions. I think we should be able to completely opt out of this or it should be made a "personal finance management tool" layer on top of online banking - or they should just partner with Mint.

Also, they need to fix the fairly recent change in their core banking system for scheduled transfers that show up as "internal transfers". Very negative to statement description and detail in my view! 🙁

Simplii Financial...you can't come soon enough! 😉

Cheers,
Doug

FWIW, it seems to me that almost all institutions are re-designing their websites to be mobile friendly. Granted most institutions have mobile apps as well, but even mobile users often prefer to go to the website to do most things. I'm not a Tangerine customer so cannot comment specifically, but have seen these changes at RBC, CIBC, Wells Fargo and even Scotia and BMO are tweaking their websites. BMO appears to be undertaking (or about to undertake) a complete overhaul based on their Advisory Panel surveys. Motive as well when it re-morphed from CDF.

Even though I refuse to use the mobile apps (I prefer the websites), I think we just have to get used to tidal change.

I don't bank with Motive Financial but if I did, I'd say they have the best interface. They switched to the same core banking system as Coast Capital Savings that I use, called Temeno from Celero Systems, and the online banking platform is Central 1 Credit Union's MemberDirect. Both are well laid out and provide sufficient (not perfect, but almost) transaction narrative and statement detail. 🙂

I'm considering migrating fully to Coast Capital Savings and Hubert Financial/Implicity Financial from Tangerine.

Cheers,
Doug

Spouse still deals with Tang for the promos. I've pretty much quit but may reactivate. All registered funds are elsewhere or are going this month - to Hubert, which provides a good holding ground until we decide how much to withdraw (to maximize tax bracket). Tang has consistently ignored needs of registered savings account holders, except for its recent pathetic new money offer. We've never gotten an offer re: mutual funds, although you'd think we'd be ideal candidates for it as we've been moving registered funds out for the last year or so.

In answer to Doug's previous question, spouse's rate will apply to joint account with me. I haven't checked whether I'm supposed to get a promo. I'm finding it harder and harder to be bothered with them and didn't take them up on last quarter's offer of 3.1, which they sent by snail mail. Yes, I left money on the table. I'm just really tired of them.

I have used Tangerine and ING before them with no problem. Today my new computer is denied access to our accounts. I can't find anyway to speak to someone to sort this out. What do I do? I need to cash out some of the savings fairly promptly. What is going on?

Doug...don't mean to influence you, and I'm sure you've done your homework, but I have moved out of CC to Motive. Here's mostly the reasons why.

Seems their attitude is corporate policy. Too hard line for me. I expect a little flexibility for being a "valued" customer. That and their rates suck.
