I just checked my Insights and got offered 4.10% until Oct. 31. I will take that as I have been stuck on those ghastly tiered rates (which ended July 31) for much too long!
The 4.1% rate also applied to US$ savings (as well as RSP and TFSA).

My tiered plan ended July 31 (I had been on 2 rounds of tiered plans), and the promo showed up in my insights yesterday. New money as of Aug 4 balance.

I haven’t had an offer since March so phoned a couple of days ago, opened a Tang MC, looked around the site. My husband got the 4.25% offer yesterday! - but I didn’t….!

I guess after around 2 years of the tiered rates, I'm still being 'punished'. I just got an offer of 3.5% until the end of October. Still, better than a kick in the pants. 😉

I just had a chat with Tangerine trying to get out of the Tiered offer and get a better promo. No luck, they have no other offer for me at the moment...

I was thinking of trying to do the same thing cause now I'm stuck on the 2.5% tiered rate until I believe January 2027 but I guess it's not even worth it to inquire.

Tangerine does offer promos to those on Tiered offer. No need to call them to have you removed from Tiered rates.
If you don't like interest offered on your tiers, just move funds elsewhere and wait till Tangerine promo offer comes your way.

I don’t have any money at Tangerine at the moment and I have a better rate elsewhere for now but its ending August 22. My Tiered rate is at 3.25% till end of October which is not too bad but I wonder if putting money at Tangerine will not have the effect of triggering another Tiered offer at the end of current one.

My tiered rate is 2.0% for up to $500K in funds, for the whole calendar year of 2026. Of course I moved my money elsewhere before January 2026. Now comes Summer, I am getting 4.0% promo offer till end of August. With the reminder that in September I am back to 2.0% for the rest of the year.
4.0% is quite good offer, so I moved money to Tangerine and will empty my Tangerine accounts last week of August.

I moved out my fund from Tangerine, she asked if you would like to discuss the rate with another team. I replied " No".
in 3 weeks, Tangerine offered me 4.25% rate for all accounts.
It seems they will not offer you a good rate if you discuss with them.
