Now that Tang has a >5.5% GIC rate, I have begun using them again after a long hiatus.

I've found that twice in the past week, including today, their login function is down. When I enter my Login ID, I get the following message:

We're sorry for the inconvenience. This function is currently unavailable. Please try again later.

Is this a regular occurrence for others? Any work arounds?

I have found it to be a fairly common occurrence, too, even in the middle of a business day. There is no work-around, except to try often. Sometimes, I get through after a few minutes. I have sometimes also found that you can use the phone system for access, when the online is down, but this is not always true.

I use the automated phone system fairly often. Works well.

We log into both our TNG accounts a few times every week. We have had issues but the frequency is low and none in the last few months.

Early this year, it was very slow in login on the computer, but normal on the phone app. It lasted probably 1 to 2 months.

COIN: Wait, what? I begged Tangerine to let us use automated phone banking for years, right up to when I quit them, but they always tried to fob me off onto the web! How long has this been available?

Occasionally I do my banking via automated phone banking with
Tamgerine, Simplii, CIBC, RBC and two CU.
Always available all the time for decades from the beginnings.

I call 1-888-464-3232 for as long as I remember (many years). The usual reason is when I deposit a cheque at the BNS ATM to my Tang chequing account (can't deposit directly to the savings account at the ATM) and then do a transfer to my savings using the phone.

BTW: No 2 step verification when you use the phone.

I log onto the TNG app on my phone. I select whichever account I want to deposit to and do it with pic's of front & back of the cheque.

We signed up with Tang in 2021. I only use phone access, while my mother uses the online platform. However, they have changed their e-links system for phone access. I used to be able to add/change links by calling a CSR, but this is no longer possible. You must have cell phone or online access in order to make new links. They were demanding me to make a video of myself with my ID card for verification. Screw that. Hello Hubert.

WOW ... I have Never had a problem logging into my Tangerine accounts,
and mean 'Never'.

And I log into my Tangerine accounts, pretty much Every day.

What am I doing Right ? sf-smile

This usually happens when the Internet connection/wifi signal gets weak during the log in moment. A refresh of the page normally solves the problem.

And to think of all the time I spent on hold with Tangerine! They always just pointed to on-line services when I wanted pushbutton telephone services. But they've long since chased me off with the statement fee and targeted offers.
