Hi,
Does anyone else still receive Fresh Insights when they log into Tangerine? I've seen this message "Check back for fresh insights soon." when I log into Tangerine for the past month or longer. Does anyone know if they're been experiencing problems with updating their Fresh Insights or is they just don't like me enough anymore to bother sending them to me?

Well maybe with Fresh Insights comes more opportunity for promotional rate offers. I see other people on this forum get extensions, etc. whereas the last time I got a promotional rate offer was that 4.25% promotional offer in March which runs until the end of July. There are better rate offers out there so that was an easy pass.

Sometimes I am getting "Check later," sometimes it is "Insights currently offline."

Sometimes, I get useless insights. I don't think I ever missed promo rate insight, as long as these keep coming I don't mind not having anything else.

On April 25, I got this "watch out" promo email of 5.75% beginning May 1 to July 31.
And I "stay tuned" for the promo to arrive on May 1 for me to activate the offer.

However, after May 1, the email/notification never came. I contacted customer service twice, and first response was "wait", and the second response was that I do not qualify for the promo.

The 'insights" has always been "Check back for fresh insights soon." for the past month.

When I logged in today, the promo of 5.75% appeared on the Insights.

Just now, the insights show "Check back for fresh insights soon."

Last Friday I received the email below from Tangerine with a new promo offer, suggesting I keep my deposits in place. My current offer expires May 31.
Today I called and the agent tried to portray this as an extension of the rate, but ultimately said I wouldn't get the new rate until I activate the offer, which I can't do until they send me another email, which 'should' happen between June 1 and June 5. He couldn't provide me any more details on the offer.
- Has anyone else had communication in regards to this latest offer?
- Based on Redfish's experience, I'm not sure I can trust that the offer email will actually come?
- Redfish - how did they justify saying you didn't qualify for your May 1 offer given they had sent you the original email?

Sounds like Tangerine is confused from within! They probably have so many customers coming off extensions to giving customers new extension to extending new offers that the system at times just throws up on itself!

I thought maybe there was some connectivity or link between Fresh Insights and New Promotional Offers, etc. I mean my Fresh Insights have been down for at least a month and a half now. How can their Fresh Insights be down for that amount of time unless it's on purpose and they just want to cut me off from receiving new promotional offers, etc. And no I'm not calling them to find out. That's a complete waste of time.

Over the years I haven't got any knowledge from "Fresh Insights", so I don't think its linked to offers. All I get (when its working, which again its not - " Insights are temporarily offline. Please check back soon. ") is usually to confirm a transaction for no good reason or something useless information/promo having to do with basketball. sf-frown

I got the same fresh insight everyday for a month, and it was already accepted. No idea why their pop-ups are so random.

Thanks everyone for the clarification and shedding some insight on this. I haven't received any good promotional offers or extensions on previous offers since last summer so I thought it might be tied into my Fresh Insights not working or purposely turned off for me. From reading other posters on here it seems like quite a few people were getting new 5.50%/5.75% promo offers that it made me think that maybe Tangerine just "cut me off".

Please write your comments in the forum.
