I just noticed that there is a chart here that tries to make these comparisons,
https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/comparison-of-services-offered-by-high-interest-savings-banks/

I don't recall noticing it before.
Members are often asking for this kind of info, but this chart needs updating, I think. For example, does not include FIs such as WealthOne, motusbank and AlternaBank, which have their own sub-forums.

Can something be done about this, and to pull this chart out of obscurity?

thx

.
At the bottom of that chart that Loonie linked above , it says :

"Note: this spreadsheet was last updated on February 15, 2018"

I'm guessing it would be 'A Lot Of Work', for Peter to bring it up to date.

What say you, Peter ❓

Loonie, I'm working on a draft version of the Services chart actually. Dean is correct that it will need a lot of work. I'll try and finish it up soon.

Cheers,
Doug

I would like to see an additional category added to the Y-axis. It is important for us to know if the FI offers Joint Accounts.

It would be nice if the FI would also declare the nature of the joint account as in JTWROS (Joint Tenancy with Right of Survivorship) to provide a distinction between 'joint tenants' and joint tenancy'.

I am not hopeful of the latter being possible. Of the many FI's we have accounts with, only one - BMO Investorline, declares online, or in statements, that our accounts are designated as 'JTWROS'.

I am working on canvassing our FI's to get more details on this and I will post later what I find.
