Peter,

Ever-changing GIC rates for promos and odd terms listed on the Promos page and GIC Chart page need to be updated as follows (as of Feb. 2, 2024):

18 month GICs on both pages -
Oaken 5.05%
Tangerine 4.80% for non-registered, 5.0 for registered
Wealth One 5.0%

Motive 4 mo. 5.50%

Luminus 1 yr. 4.8% (doesn't qualify as promo)
Luminus 18 mo. 4.6% (doesn't qualify as promo)

Parama new funds 1 yr. cashable 4.0%
Parama new funds 1 yr. non-cashable 5.4%

Add the following:
Peoples 15 mo. 5.6%
Tangerine 9 mo. 5.1% for non-registered, 5.3% for registered

Thanks for the help! I've updated the GIC and Promos pages.

I note that the ISA chart hardly ever changes these days...

Another problem I often face: the list of recently added topics or those with new messages works poorly. It often shown many messages I have already seen and read, misses new stuff (are only ten items allowed?) and I have to go back over the other two sections looking at the dates to catch everything.

When at https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/, scroll down to the bottom and find the link for "View 50 latest forum threads" or try go directly to
https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/last-50/ ...

Odd that there's no link on the main Forums page - you have to go down and find it off the main page, where it's buried. And this 50-latest page doesn't have the preview functions of the Forums page.

Since I bookmark the chart page to enter the site, I never see that link. I usually then select the Forums tab, expecting the bottom Unread and recently updated topics tab to guide me to what's new and at the right point in the topics.

I'll have to see if there's any improvement in the unpredictable list-from functions. Off the Forums page this week, there have been numerous threads that start way back last year or even earlier!

Not sure if this will help but my bookmark for this site is to the Forum page which shows me the newest activity and number of new comments. When I click on the red numbered rectangle on each thread, it takes me directly to the new comments.

I prefer the simplicity of the Last 10 or Last 50 sorted by last post date to see/find the recent discussions/posts. I only use the Forum page to find something not so recent or find a starting place to start a new discussion.

I bookmark the following:

1. https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/forum/
2. https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/last-50/
3. https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/ (last 10)
4. https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/chart/ (HISA rates)

There doesn't seem to be a place to go where I can set a marker to all the new posts since my last visit, in every topic where I've read or posted...

That's how every other on-line forum I have used works!

I just subscribe to the topics I wish to follow so that I get an email of new posts to those topics. I can read the post in the email and then delete or follow the link in the email to the post in the topic if I wish to reply or refresh my memory on what led to this.

And I can unsubscribe to threads I no longer wish to follow/

That listing on the home page doesn't take me to the first new post in each thread - it goes to the last, leaving me scrolling back to find the first new one. Still not very helpful.

At the top of this page click the profile button. Then options. Then edit display options. Then select reverse sort...

Yes as in no. Or, is it no as in yes. LOL

Correct, reverse order means newest first and then less old etc.

Which leaves us with subscribing ... Subscribing to forums of interest means you receive emails for individual posts in the order in which they are posted.
