Is it normal for the GIC chart not to show all banks updated to the current date? eg EQ shows updated Mar 17

Thanks for pointing that out! It's fixed now. The chart updates are automated, and sometimes the script gets stuck when a financial institution changes the structure of their website.

While at the subject, Tang has two GIC promos:
9 months @ 2.11%
18 months @ 2.50%
GIC Chart page lists Tang 18 months at 2.00%.

Also the Oaken 18 month promotion has been increased to 2.5% a couple of weeks ago.

Dean, below the chart, down the web page, you'll see a promo section with deals that ordinarily are not part of the conventional 1-5 year terms.

Peter: I think these rates from Tangerine deserve their own thread.

I have another suggestion for the GIC and, possibly, the HISA chart.

Would it be useful to add some colour code to the automatic updates?

My idea would be that if there was a rise in rates, the new rate could be displayed in Green, while a decrease in rate from the previous update, could be shown in Red.
