I would like if site had 'go to top' button (see for example aliexpress.com).

it would be nice too if you click a forum that it takes you to the last page to read the latest comment. It would help the tablet and smart phone users.....with no mouse.

I might be wrong, but right now it takes you to the first unread post and I would not prefer otherwise in order not to lose continuity of 'thoughts'. But, maybe some forum option could be set up so members can choose: take me to the last post or take me to the first unread post.

It will depend on the built-in capabilities of the software. I don't think Simple Press (Word Press) is nearly as sophisticated as php for example.

Thanks for the suggestions!

"Back to top" floating button should be straightforward to add.

As for the forum links, it depends on what page you're on. On the homepage and the forum "group" pages, the main topic link leads you to the first post and page, but there is also a separate link to the right that sends you to the last post. On the /forum page, the main listings have a "last post" link as does the "Unread and recently updated topics" list at the bottom.

Found another 'annoyance': when I log in and scroll down to forums, site nicely shows how many are new postings. I enter the topic, read, etc. exit and boom, topic is gone. I mean, it is still there but not on 'my' list with most recent postings. What if I want to edit my post? Add additional comment? Yes, I better remember the topic and dig it out but I usually do not remember... was it discussion regarding Tang, GIC, something else????

I would like if I could somehow mark number of topics as 'favorite' and have them always accessible.

I agree with SavingIsGood about the nuisance factor but not keen on the solution offered as I would just end up with another long list and things would get lost.

I would prefer something that allowed us to "restore" all of the new posts since "X" time. Just using the back arrow doesn't seem to work. Or maybe I'm just not very good with computers (true!).

I've always found the recent post list annoying. It's trying to be smart and remove items you've already read. For a global recent post list on the homepage, I built something that ignores what you've read. Perhaps you could use the homepage as the "most recent" reference?

There is an in-forum "bookmarks" plugin I could buy. It probably gives you a separate area on the site that lists your "watched" topics. This is in contrast to the "Subscribe" button at the bottom of every thread that will e-mail you whenever new posts are made.

As far as I can make out, the list accessed through the home page gives you 50 most recently active threads, which is way too many

I only see 15 unless one clicks on the link at the bottom and I have no idea why anyone would want to do that.

Peter, I don't think there is any need to buy anything else. None of us should expect gold plated software in a 'free' forum.

Hi Peter, I just noticed the sort function doesn't seem to be working on the comparison chart for some reason. I tried to sort on the various columns and there is no response. Hopefully you see it as well.

Thanks for all your effort in maintaining this site!

Thanks for pointing that out! It should be fixed now.

I would like to suggest, if possible, to be able to set default 'start page' after logging in, e.g. to have as default 'Forum' instead of 'Comparison chart'.

Thanks for the suggestion! Currently it's supposed to redirect you back to the page you're on. Do you want to set a redirect rule no matter where you logged in from? Where did you find that it was redirecting you to the chart?
