Nobody know. It is at their whim, caprice, fancy, quirk, or whatever word comes to mind. Like, for example, Tangerine. You'll be notified, by them, if you were selected. If you call them, they'd tell you: "Sorry".

I just logged in on line. 2.75% offer popped up…no thanks …maybe later ….or accept. New deposits as of March 1st over closing balance February 28. I accepted and it went straight to my accounts. No email, message or confirmation that I can see. Chat…advises I should receive an email within 24 hours.

Yes, my experience exactly the same
Didn't note the chat about a confirming email-- which I would like to get, of course
Thinking of just calling in to verify
I don't believe they are in the habit of updating your web page to show the promo interest rate, when they do these things, so one feels a little unsure at times
Plus, you cannot see the promo interest being applied-- until after the promo closes

Thanks hwyc for the alert. Very INTERESTing news when I logged in. My first Simplii promo offer since July 2020. That's why it pays to keep accounts open indefinitely with just a $1 balance.
Two negatives with Simplii. The interest rate you are earning is never shown on your account. It's essential to ensure that you get an email confirming promo rate with ending date and retain that email. Follow up for email if necessary. The other negative is that promo interest is only posted sometime in the month after the promo period ends, not monthly.

No such offer for me.

Where on Simplii's page does this offer show up, after one logs in? I have never gotten an offer from them via the web page. If it comes at all, it is an email.

I logged into simplii. No offer.

(I've had a savings acct since day one of simplii, and then a large gic. Just matured that 3yr GIC and moved those $ to 2% @ tangerine vs 0.1% @ simplii. The plan was to close my simplii account cause other than that 3+% GIC there hadn't been anything interesting at simplii.)

While logged in, went to chat. Waited 30 minutes then asked about 2.75%. Apparently she couldn't talk about that cause I wasn't logged in. But I was.

So, I think i'll just stick to my plan and close it...

"No email, message or confirmation that I can see."
Same experience here. No acknowledgement that I signed up.

Yes, welcome to Simplii, and that's why the name. But you think that's bad, they can't even pay the bonus interest monthly! 🙂 You won't find much of anything on the web site. sf-embarassed

Got the 2.75% offer today as well.
It popped up when I opened up my phone app.

In the past, the confirmation email appears the next day usually. You definitely need the confirmation email to prove the rate offer. As you cant find it attached to your account like tangerine does.

After clicking on ACCEPT, -- and then seeing no positive indication that anything had happened-- got cold feet, and opted to call in
Was told that no, not enrolled, but he would be glad to do it right then and there.
And, he followed up with a confirming email, with T&C
I guess maybe it might have resolved itself in 24 hours, but glad I followed up, and put it to bed tonight.
One interesting facet-- The T&C says max 1 million-- but the agent on the phone tonight said max 500K

I have a newbie question if you don't mind (I was offered this in a popup too).

This offer is only on balance that will be added after Feb 28, right? So If I have $2000 in Feb 28, and it won't increase in the following months, I won't get the 2.75% rate even if I signed on?

Thanks and sorry for the very basic question.
