I received confirming email a few minutes after accepting the offer, spouse received it after 3 calendar days, so it appears you might have to be patient but it'll get there.

Similar here
Well, the other way around
Spouse got her confirming email right away
But mine took 3 days
(The web site did show "activated" during that time span, giving at least some evidence that I hadn't imagined the whole thing)

Thanks for reminding me to look at the offer tab... I probably would have missed it otherwise. These offers are perfect for accumulating biweekly savings before lumping them into a GIC.

Well, this is a bit weird!

I got an email this morning inviting me to look at the offer for the 5.5% rate until July 15. I clicked on the link in the email, which took me to the offers page, where there was no offer for me! So I called Simplii and the agent informed me that according to their records I am already listed as having the offer accepted - that I was automatically enrolled!

When I asked for a confirmation email, the agent informed me that this was not possible, and she was not swayed when I told her that others on this forum said that they did get such an email. She insisted there is no problem, and that Simplii has a recording of our phone conversation and would use that for confirmation!

Why do some people get a confirmation email, and I cannot? Do I trust Simplii to honour this arrangement?

And miraculously a confirmation email has now appeared in my inbox!

They seem a bit disorganized.

At least now with Simplii you can confirm by the beginning of next month whether you got the promo interest for this month.

I just received this promo email offer today to my email….. the promo started July 11th…weird…. Wonder if it had to do with a large deposit last night… there is likely no logic to this.

I got the 5.5% offer in an email, when I click the link in the email it shows me an error. I see the offer in the My Offers section, but none of the links on this offer work. Usually I get a pop up as soon as I sign in to accept the offer and it always works and sends me a confirmation email, no pop up this time, I guess I have to call to confirm like you did, oh well... CIBC only made $5B profit last year, can't have a working website...Screenshot-2024-04-18-134103.pngScreenshot-2024-04-18-134340.png

Every deposit is eligible, I do not see "Eligible Deposit" definition in Terms, as Tangerine have, for example. That is nice and interest every month also big improvement.

Got the offer in email, clicked the link which takes to an empty page on the online banking with just the text like: No Offer For You!

Tried chatting but consistently no human agent available (all during hours). Not even in queue, just plain message: No agent available for you!

Called and waited 19 minutes for agent who took 15+ mins to churn the wheels and informs the offer is applied to account, and a confirmation email will be sent shortly.

That was two days ago. No confirmation email yet.

I would give Simplii a few more business days.

One person reported that the confirmation e-mail took three days. Mine took over three business days.

I didn't get a confirmation email yet but in the offers section it says the offer is activated so I guess I can do the transfers now.

Simplii works, but it's extremely badly run, seems CIBC believes since you are not paying for the account, you deserve an account commensurate with that price.

I had given up on the confirming email-- and then it arrived

I received the 5.5% offer in email on April 17 and I logged in to my account which took me to an empty page as well. I logged in couple days later and still no offer. Another couple days go by and I curiously disabled my adblock and all the offers started to popup. I accepted the offer on April 23 and I got an email confirmation immediately.
