Do they use Flink or do you still have to send them or upload a void-cheque /direct deposit form with a bank stemp?

What is the experience from linking from a Simplii account from Tangerine or EQ?

Simplii provides both methods:

Flinks Funds Transfer
With Flinks you can conveniently move up to $100,000 in a single transaction from your account at an external financial institution to your Simplii account, depending on your external financial institution’s limits. You can use Flinks to make multiple electronic funds transfers.

Transfer time: 1-3 business days

Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD)
Setting up Pre-Authorized Debit allows us to automatically withdraw funds from one of your accounts at an external financial institution to fund your Simplii account. This will require you to physically mail us a void cheque or a customized account confirmation form.

The void cheque needs to be a real cheque that's voided. Simplii doesn't accept those faux/simulated void cheques that one can download and print.

Thank you. This sound complicated.

However, I can't withdraw funds from Simplii with Flinks, correct?

I've only done the second method. The Flinks method was not available then.

The second method is not complicated. It is like linking by microdeposits. The difference is that one mails in a voided cheque or teller-stamped PAD form to confirm instead of waiting for and keying in the amounts of the microdeposits.
