RBC has announced a new "new net deposit" bonus promo running July 2- September 30/14. Rate is 2.00% comprised of 1.05% regular rate plus .95% bonus. "New net deposit" defined as increase over July 1/14. Other rules appear to be same as PC Financial/Tangerine.

I can't find a way from homepage of http://www.rbcroyalbank.com to navigate to above link. Any hints?

Since those from time to time "promotions" are so unpredictable, I thought out a way. I maintain two e-savings accounts with RBC. One is almost zero(say No.1), the other (No. 2) is normal amount. After seeing the promotion, I transfer from No.2 to another bank, then transfer the money to No.1 directly. In terms of No.1 eSavings account, is the money regarded as "new money"? Ahhh, I saw "Example 3" of above link. They have plugged the hole.

Should I add a "current promotions" static page to this site? Then there would be a single place for people (especially those who are willing to transfer between financial institutions to chase rates) to check for referral, new deposit, and other temporary offers.

Yes, please add "current promotion". If someone can offer hints of expected coming promotions, it will be even greater (move out money, when promotion, move back, since all banks require "new money").

Great ideas. I'm on board. I like the idea about tips for when to move money out. This, like the history feature on the comparison chart, could be very valuable.

Yes I would like a Current Promos page. It would be a huge benefit to all that chase rates.
