Sign, I had one week to go before buying their GIC. Alas, always a day late and dollar short. Guess I'll just have to go to Achieva. sf-cry

Good news! I sent my applications by fax on Sunday, in anticipation of confusion and problems. They said that the fax was received before the change so they will honour the 1.55% rate even as late as June 9. sf-cool

Saven Financial (for Ontario residents) is still 1.55% for 1 yr., possibly the highest 1 yr. posted rate available. See thread regarding Saven.

PT/PB have been very good about holding a rate while paperwork is in process or even in transit, so I always talk to them on the phone, ask for a hold and get the agent's name before sending things in. No trouble with the two 1.55% 1-year and 15-month deposits recently.

Response time isn't as good as it has been pre-pandemic, but it's still better than most and the agents are very on the ball, save for one or two emergency hires. The new guys pushed to another FI instead of pulling - twice - but it was only $100 and quickly corrected.
