In my Oaken banking account, I am unable to add my Hubert Savings Account as an External Account.

Hubert (or Sunova) is not on Oaken's External Institution List, and is not recognized in Oaken's search function.

Does anyone know a 'Work Around' for this ❓

I've been using Tangerine as intermediary. EQ would also work but the EQ hold is much longer ...

In TNG trigger TNG <- HUB. Once I get email that $ deposited @ TNG which is usually early AM next business day, I go to OAK and trigger OAK <- TNG ... Viola ...

Thanks Cgouimet ⬆ ... but I already have Tangerine & EQ Bank set up in my Oaken External Accounts. (And sending $$$ from Oaken to Hubert (and vice-versa) via a third party FI seems just a little _ _ _ _ _ _ _ .)

How do I set up the same in my Oaken External Accounts for 'Hubert' ❓

So far Oaken hasn't allowed me that option, and Oaken's External Account setup page won't even recognize that Hubert (or Sunova) exists ❗

I don't like it either Dean but that's all I could get to work.

An obvious solution is to set up the link from the Hubert end, using Hubert's microdeposit system. Hubert allows at least a dozen of these links to be set up, if not more.

Could it be that some FIs are not recognizing Hubert because of the impending merger - have they already taken the Hubert name off their lists?

Oaken doesn't seem to allow links to be set up from the other end - all transactions must be initiated from Oaken. Anyone else been able to do otherwise?

Hubert Happy Savings now shows up in the search function to add an external account. However, it fails to complete.

I selected Hubert, and it asks for my Hubert login credentials. After that, it asks for a security confirmation, which succeeds. Then it asks me to pick an account at Hubert, and correctly shows my Hubert savings account and balance. When I click to finalize, it shows a spinning processing graphic. I've tried a few times. Sometimes it never comes back. Sometimes it eventually says "Oaken Digital is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." That doesn't really seem to be the problem though, as I then tried again with RBC and it completed successfully.

I vaguely remember when I first opened my Oaken account, linking external accounts had to be done during their office hours even though it's an online self-service. I could be wrong about that though, especially since I was able to complete the RBC link. It was probably some other function.

I guess I'll try phoning the support number tomorrow.

I guess they don't allow payroll direct deposits or deposits of pension income then, too. 🙂

Their loss, and yes, one of the reasons I haven't opened an account...
