If you have a saving account to get the 2.75% you will need to pay $14.99 a month. If you don't want to pay fees it's 2%

Needless to say I'll be moving my money

Neo was already bad, as of October 1st they will be turning into a Koho. I think at some point it might be worth considering delisting Neo off the HISA chart.

October 1, 2026 Update:
Neo is taking away free e-Transfer & removing phone support. Such basic necessities are now only provided on a paid membership.

If you remain on the free plan, e-transfers will cost $1 each and you will be limited to Live Chat Support. If for any reason you prefer to talk to a human you would need to upgrade to a paid membership.

I closed my Neo account once before, gave them a 2nd chance; my mistake. Account closed as of yesterday

I got out of there like a bat out of hell.

Neo emailed me an official notice about the changes and the Neo AI assistant confirmed every detail.

The main reason for closing the free account wasn’t even about the lower rate tier; it was about the $1 e-Transfer & no more phone support.

Charging $1 for sending an e-Transfer was one nail added to the coffin; but then taking away the ability to call them! They sealed the box very well.
