Motive T5 mailed and received few days ago -- Canadian Wertern Bank

However, T5 shows up in My CRA but it's under BANQUE NATIONALE DU CANADA

Question is when we file our tax, do we use Canadian Western or BANQUE NATIONALE DU CANADA?

Canadian Western Bank ceased to exist sometime in March last year when it and National Bank of Canada amalgamated.

The T5 slip (more accurately, the info in the slip) was actually uploaded to CRA by National Bank of Canada.

I've reviewed the files NETFILE software uploads to CRA for my returns. As AltaRed described, the info of each individual slip is not uploaded.

Since I will have both Motive AND National Bank slips (from Motive GIC), let's hope CRA nor National Bank mess it up and end up having one overwrite the others....

Multiple uploaded T5 slips with report code "O" (box 21) won't overwrite.

One thing people are missing 🙂 is Canadian Western Bank had a lot of CWB envelopes left so National Bank is using up their envelopes with a faded extra stamped address in black saying "National Bank of Canada on it" sf-surprised
