I tried opening an account at motive. Got an message after finishing that said that I will receive an email for further instructions. Just got that email today and they said sorry, we can't open an account for you. And they also said that does not mean I will never be able to open one. And to try again in 6 months.

What is going on at motive?  

Did you tell them that you have lots of money to deposit? Lol
What I noticed about Motive is that they were trying to be competitive and ahead of some of the others when it came to hisa rates. Since CWB had a terrible last quarter, Motive has flatlined. Doesn’t make sense…when people want to do business (by opening an account), that should be their top priority. Other than recent rates not being competitive with other hisa promos, I’ve never experienced a problem with their service. And the nice part about Motive is, CWB will help with the interaction between the two for certain issues while typically, bricks and mortar is completely separate from their online affiliate. I get great service from CWB reps. I’ll gladly be back with both when the promos run out.
