What's the source of the promo, GR? I didn't get an email from Meridian announcing this promo, so it must be advertised using another way.

Can you post a reprint of the promo or provide details of whether this is an online or branch promo?

My Meridian branch notified me. I also confirmed it with the customer contact centre, so it should apply to all branches - although it is not shown on their website (yet).
This might be a good place to move money from Simplii in late February 2018 when their 3% promo ends, if not extended.

You can open a 90 Day GIC at 2.5% percent with Meridian Credit Union online. You do not have to visit a branch. Keep in mind, your funds are locked in for 90 days to get this rate. Not a long time, but interest rates should be on the rise for 2018. Here are the weblinks.
