3% rate applies to over $500,000 as well:

Effective as of close of business on October 20, 2022, the annual interest rate for the LBC Digital High Interest Savings Account (HISA) on deposits up to and including $500,000 will change from 2.00% to 3.00%. The rate on deposits over $500,000 will change from 0.30% to 3.00%

The most interesting thing about this announcement is that they are now paying the full interest rate on over 500k instead of the usual .3 percent.

With simplii also about to release a top tier over 1 million interest rate it looks like financial institutions are competing for our money once more.

Notice you never hear anything about negative interest rates anymore?

That is because with the war and economic downturn billions have disappeared from the liquid cash stores of the world.

...and because business investment, so far at least, is now very profitable and people want cash to do it!
