You are right that the information ends up in the same computers at the destination, but I will not add another point of access or entry to my data to the journey.
I also acknowledge that every time I call CRA and talk to an agent, that person is often working from home and the likelihood of a security penetration on their system is moderately high, IMO. The CRA security is bad enough. I can only imagine how shoddily they observe security precautions from work-at-home computer systems.
