This is good news.

Happy they matched Hubert. Wish they would exceed it and become a leader in the Manitoba Credit Union space. Following lock step with the other CU in Manitoba isn't exactly going to persuade others to switch or move to it more so than they already get.

My guess is that they are happy with the current growth of customers and or pool of money they have and just want to maintain or slowly grown their money base to support their loan business.

I've read on other forums that people are wondering why the big 5 banks aren't raising rates. It's because they don't need the growth. They are content with their current customer base. Manitoba CUs are growing and need a stronger base of customers to grow their loan business.

Big 5 aren't really growing or growing very slowly in terms of customers. Their actually probably declining extremely slowly some of them.

If the Big 5 had a drop in customers they'd be increasing rates more aggressively. More so than EQ bank.

Implicity has fantastic customer service. I recently opened account with them and found them an absolute pleasure to deal with.

I agree.

I initially got it because it was a low fee bank and it had cheques for it's savings account.

I was surprised by their online chat feature that worked very well, and talking on the phone was easy (although it was only one person).

One issue was the secure email correspondence was good but only after I got use to it and entering passwords for emails etc.

Very simple interface. Liking it so far.
