Ideal has reduced their savings account rates to 2.50% (from 2.76%) and their 1 to 5 year GICs rates have decreased by 10 basis points to 3.01% for 1 year and 3.41% for 5 years.

It's fascinating how quickly FIs can lower their rates even when the BoC does not move one iota; and how slowly they raise them when it does.
