Regarding Ideal's $3 withdrawal fee, I notice elsewhere that Ideal has modified their fees page to indicate that you now get 3 free per month. I don't know if they forgot to mention that originally, or they've been pressured by the Doug-mafia into including an acceptable number of freebies... :)

I did notice that, I also noticed there isn't a dormant account fee listed, I think there was one previously. Seems like they are still making changes and so far they look like improvements. I'll keep watching, but I'm still stinging from that misleading interest rate promo.

I like the nickname. sf-cool

I did notice that too but, perhaps it wasn't mentioned in or clear in my post you referenced, that they already did provide three (3) free debit transactions. That's nothing new but is actually what prompted me to suggest we consider including only high interest savings accounts by a bank or credit union that provide a certain minimum of free debit transactions. I'd like to suggest 4-5, preferably, but I also said three (3) would be fine and that's why I'm actually supportive of including Ideal Savings in the "comparison chart" based on those three (3) free debit transactions. And honestly, what would it cost the other Manitoba-based credit unions to offer that anyway!? ;)

I've got some other suggestions re: the "comparison chart" but I think I'll just write directly to the forum's administrator (Peter) and share my thoughts since it's somewhat clear my comments aren't appreciated by the most vocal group on this forum. :)

Cheers,
Doug
