Just wondering if I'm missing a quick & easy way to move $$$ to and from Hubert.

So far I haven't been able to find a way to 'Push' or 'Pull' from Hubert, on the Access website.

What am I missing? sf-cry

Need to call in to push funds out to or pull funds in from a linked account.

The transit, institution, and account number of the Hubert Happy High-Interest Savings account are available in online banking for pulling the funds out at another financial institution:

Thanks Norman ⬆️ ... that's pretty much what I was afraid of. sf-confused

I have funds in my TD SA that I need to move to Hubert to buy a GIC. So from Oaken, I'm pulling those funds to my Oaken SA. Then I have to wait 5 business days for those funds to be Available (i.e. no longer On Hold). And then I'll push those funds to my Hubert SA, and then wait 5 more business days for them to be available to buy that GIC.

How *&^%$# HickBilly‼️

I pull my money using People’s from Hubert then push from People’s to another FI. Takes a few days and you have to watch for any holds. I avoid calling Hubert in fear of asking why I am moving funds out. And I hear you get questioned about the details of the receiving FI account information if using the old link vs e-transfer. Would be nice if they would allow the links to work online so you can do any time of the day/evening.

I have no issues with Hubert customer service have but huge issues of being compelled by Access to use their crippled system.

Can't call Hubert and pull from TD savings account or from another linked account at TD into a Hubert GIC?

Like Norm said, if your TD acc't is already linked @ Hubert, you can call & request the pull & the GIC purchase @ the same time. They'll pull the funds within a couple of days & issue the GIC the day the funds get transfered + the GIC rate is locked as of when you called.

If you insist on doing it the other way, a) you will lose 1 day's int when you push to Hubert because the day you do the push, your acc't gets debited instantly & they won't send the funds until the next day no matter what time you setup the push, but b) there's no hold on the funds you push to Hubert, so the funds are available for your GIC as soon as they post @ Hubert.

My experience with Hubert in the last year was completely different.
They refused to issue the GIC the day the funds received by Hubert, only after hold will ends, I was told a least 5 times, when I tried.

Evidently, things have deteriorated @ Hubert. I haven't done any transaction with them in almost a year, but what Winnie said doesn't bode well.

My only suggestion is, try anyway & if the outcome is as Winnie said, take your business elsewhere.

That is interesting. I called Hubert on the morning of March 27th to have them pull funds from TD and put them into a quarterly 1 year term. The funds show a withdrawn date from TD on March 28th and the quarterly term has an open date with Hubert of March 27th with maturity 1 year later on March 27, 2026. sf-cool

Well, that pretty much confirms what I 1st wrote. Maybe it depends on who you deal with or maybe Winnie had some previous antecedents that negated that service??

I've also previously had a GIC dated the day requested, but I suspect that's just pure luck because I believe the norm is as I 1st described.

I'm with Hubert for very long time and had many excellent experiences before Access happened.
In old happy Hubert times hold on pulled funds from another institution was not an issue at all.
In 2023 and 2024 I had that bad above mentioned experience with Eric and 2 or 3 other Access employee.
They refused to issue the GIC the day the funds received by Hubert, only after hold will ends, I was told at least 5 times, when I tried.
I did not tried after June 2024 anymore, maybe they changed behavior, it's over a year now.
